The first victory of the 2025 China GT season! 610Racing car No. 33 won the overall championship

News & Announcements China Zhuhai International Circuit June 23

On June 22, the second round of the 2025 China GT Championship Zhuhai Station was held at the Zhuhai International Circuit. Five 610Racing cars were ready to go in the precious sunny weather. In the end, the No. 33 team of Yang Baijie and Li Zhicong won the championship! 610Racing won its first victory of the season on the China GT stage.

The Zhuhai track was still cloudy and sunny on Sunday, and it still experienced heavy rainfall an hour before the race, but fortunately the weather cleared up quickly, and the blessing of the rainbow also brought good luck to 610 Racing.

Yang Baijie driving the No. 33 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II car started from the 11th place in the whole race. After the start, he reacted flexibly and made a timely avoidance in the face of the accident car parked on the track at Turn 5. However, he also lost several positions when he drove into the gravel buffer zone. After returning to the track, Yang Baijie did not rush to launch a fierce attack on the car in front, but adopted a steady strategy to maintain a good track rhythm.

With the opening of the pit window, the team always observed everything happening on the track. The occurrence of multiple track accidents also made the team decide to pit during the yellow flag stage of the whole race.

After successfully completing the pit stop, Li Zhicong officially took over the car and continued to drive according to the FCY speed limit requirements. At this time, the No. 33 car has come to the 7th place in the whole field. Because there are many cars on the field that need to be cleared, the yellow flags are further converted to safety cars. The entire car formation on the track is compressed, and the gap between the cars is gone. This also provides conditions for Li Zhicong's next overtaking performance. This star driver who once competed in the European F3 field is about to prove his strength again on his home track.

After the track was cleared, the safety car returned to the pit area and the race officially restarted. Li Zhicong cleanly overtook several cars in succession, and performed a wonderful "one over two" at the T10 exit, coming to the second place of the whole field.

After the last safety car, Li Zhicong followed the opponent in front, and surpassed after passing the control line, coming to the leading position of the whole field! After two laps, he was the first to wave the checkered flag and won the championship!

This victory is not only the first overall championship of 610Racing in China GT, but also marks that Guangzhou driver Li Zhicong has returned to this most familiar track after experiencing the major accident in 2016, and ushered in Nirvana rebirth under the side-by-side fighting of his best friend and teammate. We look forward to the two drivers achieving better results in the final battle of the season in September.

Racing is always full of unknowns, and the race does not always have a perfect ending. The other four cars of 610 Racing failed to achieve the desired results in the second round of the race due to different reasons.

The Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO No. 915 driven by Pan Deng II car started from the seventh position in the group and moved forward steadily to avoid collision with the opponent. After the pit window opened, Yang Xiaowei took over the driving. Yang Xiaowei performed bravely in the second half of the race, surpassing many cars in succession and rising to the fourth place in the group. However, during one of the overtaking processes, he collided with other cars at Turn 2 and withdrew from the competition for the podium.

Driving the No. 9 Porsche 718 GT4RS Wang Jiahao of the Clubsport car was in great form after the start of the race, constantly breaking his personal fastest lap record, but before the pit stop window opened, the car encountered a mechanical failure and stopped on the track.

Bao Tian, who competed alone, drove the No. 62 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II car played steadily after the start of the race, trying to refresh the single lap time, following behind the car group waiting for the opportunity to overtake, but unfortunately retired early in the middle of the race due to being stuck in the gravel area.

Porsche 911 No. 610 driven by Xu Zefeng The GT3R car ran off the track at a very high speed in the third lap after the start of the race, when the brake system failed at Turn 1. Fortunately, the driver's quick reaction allowed the car to slow down successfully and stop safely in the buffer zone.

So far, 610 Racing has officially completed the competition of the China GT Zhuhai Station. The team will conduct a comprehensive overhaul of the car during the next summer break to welcome the season finale in a better state.
