TCR China Series Sporting Regulations 2025

This document is the sports rules of the 2025 TCR China Series, covering event organization, entry requirements, competition process, penalty regulations and other aspects, aiming to ensure the fairness, safety and standardization of the event.

1. Basic information of the event: Promoted by Shanghai Lisheng Sports Culture Communication Co., Ltd., including the TCR China Championship and Challenge, following the relevant rules of the International Automobile Federation General Rules of Sport. The participating vehicles are WSC registered racing cars that meet the technical regulations of TCR. The series has a maximum of 6 sub-stations, each of which usually has two rounds of finals, each round is at least 55 kilometers.
2. Qualification and certificates: Drivers, registrants and officials must hold corresponding valid licenses. For example, Chinese or foreign Chinese drivers need national Class B or above licenses, and foreign non-Chinese drivers need FIA ITD-C or above licenses. At the same time, there are clear regulations on the issuance and use of certificates for various types of personnel. Certificates cannot be issued at will without consent, and certificates are limited to personal use.
3. Race Process and Rules

• Practice and Qualifying: There are two 30-minute free practice sessions and one 35-minute qualifying session (divided into Q1 and Q2). During practice, there are signal lights at the exit of the pit area to indicate vehicle entry and exit. There are strict fuel, vehicle parking and eligibility regulations for qualifying, such as TCR temporary registration table models cannot participate in Q2.
• Starting Procedure: According to different events, the opening and closing times of the pit exit are clearly stipulated. There is a countdown signal before the start, and the operations such as car preparation, personnel departure, tire replacement and refueling are strictly regulated. Rushing to start will be punished, and the starting procedure can be changed in special circumstances.
• Final Rules: Under normal circumstances, the race ends when the car completes the specified distance. If a car stops during the race, it must be removed as soon as possible. The safety car is deployed in specific situations, and there are detailed rules for its use and evacuation, such as strict restrictions on overtaking when the safety car is leading. If the final is suspended, there are also corresponding procedures and signals when it resumes.

4. Points and Awards: Points are awarded based on the combined qualifying results and final results. Different rankings correspond to different points. Cars using temporary registration forms do not earn points. There are multiple awards, such as the Driver Cup and Team Cup, and the winners of each award are determined based on the points. Drivers and teams with the same points are ranked according to specific rules.
5. Vehicle and Equipment Regulations: Restrictions are placed on the number of engines, frames, weighing, weighting, performance balance, and compensatory weights of the racing car. For example, a car may not use more than one engine during the season, and replacing the engine or car will be penalized; the minimum competition weight is clearly defined and can be adjusted according to the BOP amendment announcement. At the same time, there are strict regulations on the supply, use, and inspection of tires.
6. Safety and Penalties: Detailed safety rules have been formulated, covering driver driving behavior, track use, vehicle maintenance, personnel protection, etc. Violations of safety regulations may result in the disqualification of the car and the driver. The arbitration committee is responsible for handling accidents and violations, and may impose one or more of the following penalties on the driver, such as warnings, fines, cancellation of results, time penalties, etc.
7. Post-race related matters: After the race, the cars enter the post-race closed area, and only relevant officials can enter to inspect the cars under the specified time and conditions. The ranking is determined based on the race results. Only cars that have completed a certain percentage of the race distance can participate in the ranking. After that, the official results will be announced, and an award ceremony and press conference will be held. There are clear requirements for the winners to participate in related activities.
