Reaching the season finale, over 30 teams went all out for the championship title, engaging in intense competition. The second round of the Shanghai Grand Prix finals kicked off on Sunday afternoon. Uno Racing Team had a strong start, but the race was red-flagged due to a sudden on-track incident, forcing all participating teams to return to the main straight for a restart.
Car #98 started from 16th overall and 7th in its class. Chen Yechong took the lead. The unexpected early-race incident didn't disrupt his rhythm at all. As the race resumed, he quickly settled into his groove and advanced steadily. Despite the intense offensive and defensive battles, he maintained his competitive spirit, maintaining a firm rhythm with precise control and steadily advancing despite brief fluctuations in his ranking.
After the pit stop window opened, the No. 98 car efficiently completed the driver rotation, with Thomas Song taking over and remaining in eighth place in the class after exiting the pits. Despite a brief safety car deployment, Thomas Song maintained his aggressive attitude, improving his overall position. Ultimately, the two of them withstood the pressure and crossed the finish line, finishing sixth in the GT3 Am class and concluding their season-ending race with a perfect result.
In the second round, the No. 85 car secured a strong starting position of fifth overall and third in the GT3 Am class, with Pan Junlin taking the lead. Despite the turmoil during the first lap, Pan Junlin remained unfazed, maintaining his composure. As the race restarted, he firmly maintained his position, attacking the cars ahead with a steady pace, maintaining a top-three position in his class for the first half of the race. After the pit stop window opened, Pan Junlin pushed hard to gain further advantage for car #85, pitting in third overall and handing the car over to Wang Yibo.
Wang Yibo maintained third place in the GT3 Am class after his debut, trailing several experienced professional drivers. An incident later triggered another safety car deployment, compressing the field and putting Wang Yibo under immense defensive pressure. Despite this pressure, Wang Yibo aggressively attacked and delivered a strong performance in the close battle after the race resumed, maintaining a calm and steady pace. Ultimately, Wang Yibo and Pan Junlin finished fifth in the GT3 Am class in this round.
Looking back at the Shanghai Grand Prix, the Uno Racing Team delivered a brilliant performance. Both teams withstood the intense competition, not only achieving successful finishes in both rounds, but also securing a spot on the GT3 Am podium in Saturday's first round, bringing the team's glory to life under the track lights. This is a testament to the drivers' dedication and the team's effective collaboration.
With the honors and experience gained from the Shanghai Grand Prix, the Uno Racing Team will not rest in its stead. In the future, the team will continue to optimize its strategy and approach each challenge with even greater strength, striving to break new ground and achieve even greater success in subsequent races, continuing the team's legendary legacy of speed.
