News & Announcements China Zhuhai International Circuit June 24

On June 22, 2025, Uno Racing Team completed the fierce competition of the China GT China Supercar Championship Zhuhai Station at Zhuhai International Circuit. Anson Chen and Thomas Song drove the No. 98 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II car to sweep away the haze of the first round, reverse the situation and win the runner-up in the GT3-AM group.

This weekend, Zhuhai was cloudy and sunny, and the showers brought complex road conditions with alternating dry and wet conditions. The high temperature and high humidity weather put higher demands on the drivers' control and physical fitness.

Looking back at the duel on Saturday, the No. 98 car group showed strong speed in the qualifying stage. Thomas Song steadily improved his lap time in the first qualifying session, and won the tenth place in the whole field and the third place in the GT3-AM group with a lap time of 1:37.523. Chen Yechong also continued to attack in the second qualifying session, and won the eighth place in the whole field and the fourth place in the group in the lap battle with frequent red flags.

In the first round of the duel, the No. 98 car used an overly aggressive tire arrangement and used dry tires to make the debut lap on the slippery track road surface after the rain, hoping to get the tires to the working temperature through more laps. The expectation of victory covered up the potential risks, resulting in the final failure to participate in the race.

On Sunday afternoon, the No. 98 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II car stopped on time at the starting grid for the second round of the final. Chen Yechong and Thomas Song also threw themselves into the new round of competition with high morale.

Chen Yechong took the lead in starting this round. He started from the eighth place in the field and the fourth place in the group. After the start, he successfully avoided the accident of the car in front of him and moved up to the seventh place in the field, moving forward at a steady pace.

The race was then triggered by an accident that triggered the safety car. Chen Yesong adjusted his rhythm well and continued to follow his opponent after the race resumed. The race triggered another safety car due to an accident before the pit window opened. Chen Yesong executed the strategy pit stop and safely handed the car to Thomas Song.

Thomas Song ranked 12th in the field and 6th in the group after the race. The race was still in the safety car stage. Thomas Song maintained his hot state and immediately started a fierce battle with his opponents after the race restarted, actively moving forward. Thomas Song continued to put pressure on his opponents in front of him, and in the last 10 minutes of the race, he successfully came to the ninth place in the field and the fifth in the group.

The second round of the final was in turmoil again in the final stage. The safety car was deployed again due to an accident with about 8 minutes left in the race. When the race was restarted, all the drivers had only 3 minutes left to sprint. Thomas Song keenly predicted the start time and rushed forward after the race resumed. Shortly after the start, a multi-car accident occurred in the front. Thomas Song played steadily in the chaos and finished the race in seventh place. Together with Chen Yechong, he won the GT3 AM group runner-up trophy!

With their steady and aggressive performance, Chen Yechong and Thomas Song cleared the clouds and finished the Zhuhai home battle on the group podium, interpreting the never-say-die racing spirit. The China GT Zhuhai Station has come to an end, and we look forward to Uno Racing Team achieving better results in the next battle.
