News & Announcements Japan Fuji International Speedway Circuit July 11
From July 11 to 13, 2025, the fourth race of the GT World Challenge Asia Cup (GTWC Asia) will kick off at the Fuji Speedway in Japan. Origine Motorsport will face a crucial mid-season showdown, and the team will continue to face the challenge with a three-car lineup and strive for good results!
Located at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan, Fuji Speedway is one of the country's oldest tracks. It was built in 1965 and has undergone several layout adjustments. The current track layout is 4.563 kilometers long and has 16 turns. A notable feature of the track is the 1.5-kilometer starting straight, which constitutes the main overtaking opportunity point in the race.
Fuji Speedway is also a key component of Asia-Pacific motorsports. Since the establishment of GTWC Asia in 2017, Fuji Speedway has always had a place on the calendar. At the same time, Fuji Speedway has also hosted world-class events such as the F1 World Championship and the WEC World Endurance Championship.
At the end of May, Origine Motorsport completed the third round of the season at the Buriram Circuit in Thailand. Under the influence of the chaotic race conditions, the team's three car groups were under tremendous competitive pressure, but all team members remained united and faced the challenge. The No. 4 car team fought their way out of the first round of the race, which was full of surprises. Lü Wei and Bastian Buus won the third place in the whole race and the Pro-Am category championship, gradually improving their ranking in the standings. The No. 86 car team Li Kerong and Anders Fjordbach also gradually got into the game, finishing the Thailand station in the sixth and fifth place in the Silver-Am category respectively. The No. 87 car team was unfortunately affected by the track accident and missed the good results.
Currently, Origin Motorsport still holds a dominant position in the team standings, ranking first with 115 points. Yuan Bo and Ye Hongli of car No. 87 are temporarily fourth in the overall driver standings with 68 points, and Lv Wei of car No. 4 has 47 points, ranking sixth. Li Kerong and Anders Fjordbach of car No. 86 are ranked sixth in the Silver-Am driver standings with 48 points thanks to their steady performance.
Looking back at the Fuji Grand Prix in the 2024 season, Origine Motorsport showed strong competitiveness. In the first round of the race on Saturday, Ye Hongli and Yuan Bo drove the No. 87 car to win the overall championship, laying a solid foundation for winning the driver and team double championships at the end of the year. This weekend, the team will strive to continue its previous competitive state and continue to challenge for the overall championship.
GTWC Asia 2025 season Fuji station is about to start the battle, Origine Motorsport original force racing three-car lineup will face the challenge, and start a head-on confrontation with a number of top teams to compete for good results. We look forward to the team's wonderful performance in the two rounds of Fuji race!
