Sepang 12 Hours | Origine Motorsport prepares for its third Sepang endurance race

News & Announcements Malaysia Sepang International Circuit March 14

From March 14 to 15, the 2025 Sepang 12 Hours will be held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. Origine Motorsport will return to this Asia-Pacific large-scale sports car endurance event as the defending champion. The team's ace combination Ye Hongli and Yuan Bo will drive the No. 87 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) with the newly joined GT event star Fang Junyu!

As an important part of Asia-Pacific motorsports, the first Sepang 12 Hours was held in 2000. After years of development, the event has become the most watched racing event in the Asia-Pacific region. In last year's event, all members of the Origine Motorsport team fought hard in the endurance battle across the day and night, and won the championship with their strategic advantages in the later stage of the event.

This event also attracted nearly 10 top teams from China and the Asia-Pacific region. Origine Motorsport will participate in the GT3 Pro-Am category with the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) and compete with a number of strong opponents for outstanding results.

The Sepang International Circuit, the venue of the race, has a full layout of 5.543 kilometers and a total of 15 corners. In the past two seasons, the team has accumulated a lot of track mileage in the Sepang leg of the two high-level championships of the GT World Challenge Asia Cup and the Asian Le Mans Series, and also collected a wealth of race data.

Origine Motorsport's "golden partners" Ye Hongli and Yuan Bo will continue to fight side by side and lead the No. 87 car group. In the 2024 season, Ye Hongli and Yuan Bo cooperated well in the 12-hour endurance race in Sepang and stood on the highest podium together. In the same year's Shanghai 8-hour endurance race, the two drivers played steadily in the race affected by rainy weather throughout the whole process and won the championship for the second consecutive year. The two powerful drivers will actively review their previous endurance race experience in the preparation stage, aiming to hit the overall victory again.

At the same time, the team will welcome a new member. Hong Kong professional driver Fang Junyu will join the No. 87 car group and partner with Ye Hongli and Yuan Bo. In recent years, Fang Junyu has participated in various GT events and won the annual championship of the Silver Cup category in the 2024 GT World Challenge Asia Cup. This powerful driver will assist the team with his rich racing experience.

Fang Junyu said: "I am honored to defend the championship title in the Sepang 12 Hours with Origine Motorsport. Although I was called up by the team at the last minute, I am still very happy to drive last year's championship car. I hope to help Bob and Leo win this historic Asian major endurance event again. The Porsche 911 GT3 R is a new car for me, and learning how to drive from them will also be of great help to my racing plan this year."

The endurance battle at the beginning of the year in the Asia-Pacific arena is about to start. Origine Motorsport will go all out and strive to show the best competitive state in this Sepang 12 Hours. Let us look forward to the wonderful performance of the three Origine fighters!
