Anderstorp Raceway, also known as Scandinavian Raceway, is a motorsport circuit located in the town of Anderstorp, Småland, Sweden. Opened on June 16, 1968, the circuit was constructed on marshland and quickly gained prominence in the 1970s, coinciding with the rise of Swedish Formula One driver Ronnie Peterson. The track's unique design features a 4.025-kilometer layout with eight corners, including a long backstretch known as the Flight Straight, which doubles as an aircraft runway. This distinctive feature contributed to the circuit's reputation for high-speed racing and technical challenges.

The circuit's layout required teams to make significant setup compromises due to its combination of long straights and tight technical sections. The pit lane's location, situated approximately halfway around the lap, further added to the track's unique characteristics. Anderstorp Raceway hosted six Formula One Swedish Grand Prix events between 1973 and 1978, marking the only Formula One races ever held in Sweden. The track also hosted the Swedish Motorcycle Grand Prix from 1971 to 1977 and again from 1981 to 1990, as well as the European Touring Car Championship in the mid-1980s and the Superbike World Championship in the early 1990s.

In 1976, the circuit was the site of the only victory for the six-wheeled Tyrrell P34, with Jody Scheckter leading teammate Patrick Depailler in a historic 1-2 finish. In 1978, Niki Lauda secured a win driving the controversial Brabham BT46B "fan car," which utilized a large fan to generate ground-effect suction. Despite these memorable moments, the Swedish Grand Prix was discontinued after 1978 following the deaths of Swedish drivers Ronnie Peterson and Gunnar Nilsson during that season.

Today, Anderstorp Raceway continues to be an important venue for motorsport in Sweden, hosting a variety of national and regional events. The circuit's unique design and historical significance make it a distinctive and cherished part of motorsport history.
