News & Announcements Malaysia Sepang International Circuit September 8

On September 7th, the fifth round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Challenge officially concluded at the Sepang International Circuit. Facing a strong field against a host of strong Asia-Pacific teams, Climax Racing once again put in a strong performance. The #99 team of Zhou Bihuang and Bryce Fullwood secured second place in the Pro-Am class. The #66 Hudson Auto by LKM team of Ling Kang and Lu Zhiwei secured third place in the Pro-Am class with exceptional speed, marking another achievement for the team with two cars on the podium!

With the red lights out, the second round of the race officially began. The opening stages were intense, with several cars spinning. Cao Qikuan reacted quickly at the start, maintaining a steady fourth place in the Pro-Am class in car #3. Lu Zhiwei also had an impressive start, leaping from seventh to fifth in the Pro-Am class in car #66. Li Dongsheng also improved his position, taking car #76 to third in the Am class. Zhou Bihuang, the starting driver in car #99, faced stiff competition from other cars after the start, losing ground, but he quickly adjusted his pace and recovered.

With the race halfway through, the pit stop window opened, and the team quickly responded. Ling Kang, Bryce Fullwood, Liao Qishun, and Li Dongsheng entered their respective cockpits, beginning the second half of the sprint. Ling Kang took over the No. 66 car and finished third in the Pro-Am class. Bryce Fullwood, driving the No. 99 car, followed closely behind in fourth. Li Donghui improved his position by pitting, moving up to second in the Am class. The No. 3 car was penalized for a drive-through penalty due to a starting procedure issue, dropping to seventh in the Pro-Am class.

In the second half of the race, the four Climax Racing teams continued to push forward, and a safety car period triggered by an incident on the field successfully helped them close the gap to the leading group. After the safety car returned to the pits, only about seven minutes remained to fight for the top spot. Bryce Fullwood fired on all cylinders, repeatedly overtaking the cars ahead, moving the #99 car up to second place in the Pro-Am class. Ling Kang, driving the #66 car, followed closely behind the sister car, pushing hard and holding onto third place.

Liao Qishun's excellent driving helped the #3 car make up for the losses it had suffered earlier in the pits and return to the top five. Unfortunately, the #76 car, which had been leading the Am class, suffered a malfunction in the final moments of the race, forcing it to retire early.

At the checkered flag, the Climax Racing #99 team of Zhou Bihuang and Bryce Fullwood finished fifth overall and second in the Pro-Am class, securing their second consecutive podium finish! The Hudson Auto by LKM No. 66 car took third place in the Pro-Am class. Ling Kang and Lu Zhiwei teamed up for third place, once again achieving a double-car podium finish for the team! The No. 3 LK Motorsport by Climax Racing teamed up with Liao Qishun and Cao Qikuan to overcome a penalty, ultimately finishing 11th overall and fifth in the Pro-Am class.

Climax Racing concluded its Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Challenge in Sepang. The team continued its excellent form, once again securing a top position in its class, achieving two consecutive victories. From November 6th to 7th, the team will depart for Europe for the final race of the year at the Misano Circuit in Italy. We look forward to seeing all the team members achieve even greater success!
