Now, as a driver, I'm participating in the CTCC and even standing on the podium, which is very meaningful to me. I welcome all drivers to Ordos often, and I hope to see more races held here!"

Ignite the Warm City, CTCC Presents a Feast of Racing, Culture, and Tourism

The CTCC Ordos race marked the start of the second half of the 2025 season. During the event, CTCC presented exciting competitions in three core events at the Ordos International Circuit: the TCR China Series, the CTCC China Cup, and the co-organized Lynk & Co Cup City Racing Series.

Off the track, the excitement was just as great. Thrilling car stunts garnered rounds of applause, the dynamic CTCC Ordos Rap and Electronic Music Festival ignited the atmosphere, and up-close autograph sessions with drivers built a bridge of communication between fans and star drivers.

The outdoor spectator area was equally bustling. Booths such as the CTCC official store, Michelin, and DoCar.com responded to the enthusiasm of fans with engaging interactive prize-giving activities and immersive experiences. The creative trunk bazaar showcased a fascinating fusion of automotive culture and lifestyle aesthetics. By meticulously crafting an innovative trinity of "top-level competition, immersive experience, and spectacular performances," the CTCC successfully transformed the Ordos race into a nationally accessible racing cultural festival. The race weekend attracted an average of approximately 7,000 spectators daily, fully demonstrating the immense appeal of motorsports and the vibrant integration of culture, sports, and tourism.

Lynk & Co. dominated the top five, Sun Juran secured victory in the Challenge Race

Moving to the heart of the action, Sunday saw the second round finals of each major event. As drivers and teams deepened their understanding of the track, the competition intensified. The reverse-start rule of the TCR China Series also created more offensive and defensive duels.

In the TCR China Series, the Lynk & Co team achieved a resounding victory, securing a commanding top five finish. Lynk & Co's Jiekai Racing team swept the top three spots in the TCR China Championship, while Jiekai Racing's Pan Dejun secured another victory in the Challenge Cup category. The Lynk & Co team not only showcased their teamwork in this round, but also engaged in fierce internal battles, creating a thrilling offensive and defensive showdown for both online and offline viewers.

David Zhu, winner of this round of the TCR China Championship, said: "We had a perfect weekend in Ordos. I had been having issues with my starts, but the team finally found the cause on Saturday night and fixed the issue by replacing a relevant part. As a result, I had a very smooth start in round two. I avoided the chaos at the start, chased back, and found opportunities after the safety car returned to gradually move into first place. Our car was in excellent condition in this round, and we ultimately achieved a perfect result. I hope to continue this good momentum in the next round in Shanghai."

Pan Dejun faced the challenge head-on in this round, once again winning the TCR China Championship Challenge Cup class championship at the Ordos round. He said: "I started from pole position this round, but my start wasn't ideal. I later crashed, damaging my right rear wheel. This made the car unstable turning right, and the front tire was wearing out. So I focused on defense, and ultimately finished the race successfully and won the class championship. I'm very happy."

Guangzhou Spark Racing's Liang Jingxi shook off his disappointment from the first round and took second place in the TCR China Championship Challenge Cup class. Guiyang DTM Racing By FORCE's Hu Heng took third place.

In the TCR China Challenge, Guangzhou Spark Racing's Sun Juran, who had already put in an impressive performance during practice, secured victory. Zhejiang 326 Racing Team's Liu Zichen took second place, while Delta Racing Team's Liu Chao, competing at home, took third place. Sun Ju Ran said: "I started this round conservatively, successfully avoiding the incident ahead of me after the start, and then pushed forward with a positive attitude. My tires started to wear out in the latter part of the race, but I managed to maintain my position and finish successfully."

China Cup Tactical Game, "Late-Winning" Drama

The second round of the China Cup final was once again filled with exciting battles and fierce attack and defense. The intense situation led to two safety car deployments. Coincidentally, with the pit stop window open, many teams chose to complete their mandatory pit stops under the safety car. The race became not only a test of speed, but also a battle of tactics between the participating teams, and a competition of efficiency and precision in their pit stops.

SAIC Volkswagen 333 Team delivered another impressive performance in the second round. Starting from the back of the pack, Gao Huayang raced forward in the first half of the race, overtaking the lead group. He then fired on the final lap, overtaking two cars in quick succession to finish first overall and the TCS class champion! Second place in the class went to Liang Qi/Ma Yuexing of Beijing Feizi Racing Team, and third place went to Sun Chao/Tang Shuyan of SAIC Volkswagen 333 Team.

With the two final rounds of the three major events concluded, the CTCC has successfully completed its journey in Ordos. The next stop will be the Shanghai International Circuit. We look forward to seeing you there!
