CTCC - China Touring Car Championship

The China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) is recognized as the premier touring car racing series in China, classified as an A-level event by the General Administration of Sport of China. Established in 2004 following the opening of the Shanghai International Circuit, it was initially known as the China Circuit Championship (CCC) until 2009 when the current name was adopted. CTCC is acknowledged and supported by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and has continuously strived to elevate the quality of domestic motorsports events. The championship features different classes of competition, including the TCR-based Super class, which has been officially known as the TCR China Touring Car Championship since 2023, and the Sports Cup for production cars. The series has made efforts to align with international racing trends, such as introducing a turbocharge group in 2011, and promotes a mission of energy-saving and emission-reduction within the sport. CTCC events are held at various top-tier circuits across China, drawing significant media attention and a dedicated fanbase to its exciting on-track action.
