Harmony Racing, with its all-Chinese driver lineup, will once again compete in the FIA GT World Cup.

News & Announcements Macau S.A.R. Macau Guia Circuit November 13

From November 13th to 16th, the 72nd Macau Grand Prix - FIA GT World Cup will ignite the legendary Guia Circuit. Harmony Racing will field two Ferrari 296 GT3 cars, with car number 83 driven by Ferrari official driver Ye Yifei, aiming for overall glory. Meanwhile, Shengdi Racing's chief driver Deng Yi will drive a car in the iconic blue and white color scheme, competing fiercely in the Silver class. These two Chinese drivers will showcase Chinese speed on a world-class track.

As a globally renowned top-tier motorsport event, the core appeal of the Macau Grand Prix lies in the extreme challenge of the Guia Circuit. This 6.2-kilometer street circuit consists of 22 corners, and its hillside terrain creates two distinctly different track characteristics, earning it the reputation of "the ultimate proving ground for motorsport."

The full-throttle section after the starting straight marks the start of a new lap. The two high-speed corners, Reservoir Corner and Mandarin Oriental Corner, test not only the drivers' line judgment and throttle control precision but also their driving courage. The Lisboa Corner at the end of the acceleration phase, due to its high speed and tight bends, has always been a high-accident area. The hillside section is characterized by narrow, continuous bends, with the guardrails and track very close together; any slight mistake could have serious consequences, posing a double challenge to the skills and mentality of all participating drivers.

Since its debut at the Guia Circuit in Macau in 2015, the FIA GT World Cup, centered on GT3-spec cars, has become a top-tier IP in global GT racing. In recent years, competition has intensified, with major automakers sending factory drivers and top-of-the-line vehicles to participate. This year's event has attracted 16 cars from six renowned automakers, setting a new record for the most impressive lineup.

Notably, this year's GT World Cup will introduce a torque sensor system for the first time. This system can precisely balance the power curves of different car models, effectively improving the fairness of the race and presenting the audience with more suspenseful battles. For Harmony Racing, which is using this system for the first time, Ferrari will provide comprehensive official technical support to ensure that the two Ferrari 296 GT3 cars reach their optimal competitive state during the race.

Ferrari official driver Ye Yifei, who is returning to Harmony Racing this time, has extensive experience in major races. In 2024, he partnered with Harmony Racing for the first time to compete in the Macau Grand Prix, launching numerous fierce attacks under slippery and complex track conditions, demonstrating exceptional adaptability. This season, he and his team competed in the GT World Challenge Asia Cup, delivering outstanding performances in the Pro-Am category at the Okayama, Japan and Beijing Yizhuang rounds, culminating in a victory in the final round.

Deng Yi of Shengdi Racing is also quite capable. After getting involved in GT racing, he tried various cars and actively participated in races. In 2024, he made his Macau Grand Prix debut, driving a BMW M4 GT4 in the Greater Bay Area GT Cup. This season, he has been upgraded to the GT3 class, participating in the GT World Challenge Asia Cup Silver class throughout the year, and winning the overall championship at the Okayama round in Japan, demonstrating his strong competitiveness and steadily improving driving skills in the Silver class.

The 72nd Macau Grand Prix - FIA GT World Cup is about to begin! Harmony Racing will be giving it their all with two Prancing Horse cars, and two Chinese drivers will be aiming for even higher rankings. Let's look forward to them writing a brilliant chapter and achieving great results on the Guia Circuit!
