Geely Super Cup Pro October Ningbo race schedule and entry list

Race Entry List China Ningbo International Circuit October 16

As the roar of engines resounded across East China, the Geely Super Cup Pro returned to Ningbo International Circuit for the penultimate race of the 2025 season during the Ningbo International Circuit Festival. After the fierce battles of the first four races, the competition in the standings has intensified. Geely Autosport's East China headquarters will become the battleground for determining the winner of the annual championship.

The 4.01-kilometer Ningbo International Circuit, comprised of 22 turns, is a rare track in China that combines high-speed corners with a series of technical turns. With a maximum drop exceeding 20 meters and numerous blind and complex turns, the track tests the vehicle's balance between braking and acceleration while also placing high demands on the driver's sense of rhythm and track reading.

Since its inception, the Geely Super Cup Pro has seen numerous classic battles in Ningbo. Last year, Team DIXCEL achieved a remarkable three-win streak, with the #328 and #63 cars teaming up to take the first and second place, and their post-race "double-crossing" action left a lasting impression. Furthermore, rising star Du Yuanchi secured second place in the sprint race (R13) in his mid- to high-end touring car debut. His composed attacking and defensive play and keen track judgment have impressed the field, making him a shining example of the "new generation" within the Super Ji League PRO development system. This battle not only demonstrates Team DIXCEL's dominance, but also embodies the Super G League's philosophy of "education through competition." This week, the competition returns to the familiar landscapes of mountains and seas, where a new legend of speed is poised to emerge.

The Geely Super Cup Pro is not only a competition of speed, but also a classroom for drivers to advance. From "newcomers" experiencing competition for the first time, to "core players" striving for breakthroughs, to "future leaders" achieving growth, this week's Ningbo race will witness the wheel-to-wheel battles of "three generations of drivers"—Yan Hancheng, Yang Wenbin, and Liu Xiaohua. These three drivers, at different stages of their careers, share their stories about the meaning of growth.

Yan Hancheng: The Courage and Ambition of a Young Cavalier

This year marked Yan Hancheng's first full year of participation in the Super Ji League PRO, marking a crucial period for him to leave behind his youthful aura. At the Shaoxing race, freshly transferred from the Jiekai Racing team to Team DIXCEL, he immediately demonstrated his prowess in the endurance race, winning with a composed pace and clever pit stop strategy. Moving to Zhuzhou, Yan Hancheng continued his scorching form, achieving another victory with steady speed and composure in scorching weather, achieving his second consecutive victory in the endurance race and solidifying his reputation as an "endurance race expert."

In the second round of the season in Chengdu, Yan Hancheng was unable to take the podium due to mechanical issues and a midfield battle, but he still demonstrated a tenacious desire to win and strong driving tenacity. For this young driver, who is competing in his first full season, this year has been filled with both shining moments and growing pains—from championship glory to technical and mental challenges, he is constantly improving himself. His debut season has been impressive, and his future is worth looking forward to. With continued progress, Yan Hancheng will undoubtedly become the most formidable championship challenger in the PRO paddock.

Yang Wenbin: From a driven driver to a steady "core force"

As a second-year competitor in the Super Ji League PRO, Yang Wenbin is becoming a core force in the competition. Last season, he missed out on good results several times due to aggressive pace and collisions, but through perseverance and reflection, he began to transform by the end of the season. This year, the Hong Kong driver has become more mature—his launch control, tire management, and offensive and defensive rhythms have all matured.

This season, Yang Wenbin's steady performance in Shaoxing (R6) saw him briefly take the lead, but a tire puncture derailed his climb. In Zhuzhou, drawing on his experience in R8, he executed a flawless defense, overtaking his opponent at the start and securing victory with a tactical "escape," ultimately securing Hongxin Racing Team's first championship. Through these ups and downs, Yang Wenbin tearfully witnessed the fulfillment of his eight-year dream. His words, "I've been racing for almost eight years! Finally standing on the top step of the podium," captured the essence of his years of hard work and perseverance. And the championship battle between him and Liu Xiaohua intensifies.

Liu Xiaohua: A "Future Wise Man" with Experience as His Sword

Liu Xiaohua is one of the few "veterans" in the Super Ji League PRO to have experienced all three seasons. At the 2023 Zhuhai season finale, he was aspiring to win the championship, but in the final turn, he was forced to retire while trying to avoid an out-of-control car ahead of him, narrowly missing out on the championship. However, throughout the season, Liu Xiaohua maintained a commanding lead in the standings, demonstrating his potential thanks to numerous podium appearances and consistent performances in crucial moments. After a busy 2024 season with his studies, Liu Xiaohua competed for Black Mamba Shock Absorbers by TRACKFUN Racing, marking a crucial season in his career. He quickly established his championship ambitions with his new team, maintaining his "steady but aggressive" driving style with precise rhythm and strong competitive power.

In the seventh round of the Zhuzhou Grand Prix, he achieved a pole-to-win, ending a championship drought of over a year and boosting his confidence in his pursuit of the Super Ji League PRO annual championship. In the previous round in Chengdu, he faced off against Yang Wenbin of the Hongxin Racing Team. Despite clashes and setbacks, he still managed to earn a significant number of points and firmly maintain the initiative in the championship race. Liu Xiaohua's racing journey epitomizes the journey from technical refinement to spiritual maturity: from consistent point-scoring to aggressive offense, from team chemistry to individual breakthroughs, he embodies the spirit of a new generation of Chinese professional drivers.

Chen Jun, Director of Geely Holding Group's Motorsport Department, believes the growth trajectory and achievements of these three generations of drivers demonstrate the unique value of the Super Geely League PRO. The clash between these three drivers is not only a battle for personal honors, but also a true reflection of Geely Holding Group's automotive talent development system. Since the establishment of the Super Geely League PRO, through China's leading mid-to-high-level touring car racing platform, it has helped generations of drivers achieve their individual "level-up" goals. From 'rookies challenging veterans' to 'experience leading the younger generation', they have jointly built the meaning and vitality of China's independent brand racing series."

It's time to announce the entry list for this event. In addition to the familiar year-round drivers, Team DIXCEL's #328 car will feature Zhu Shengdong, a familiar face, partnering with Wu Yachao. The #95 car of the Jiekai Racing team will be driven by Yang Haoyu, who returns after a one-race absence. HiRun Osa Racing has made some minor adjustments: Xu Zeyu will co-pilot the #91 car with Bao Zhengyu, while Du Yuanchi will return to the #222 cockpit with Yu Yunzhu. Hongxin Racing's #96 car has seen some changes: Tan Haoran will once again partner with Chen Huazhang after the Shaoxing race. For the 326 Racing Team, female driver Wei Qingqin will pilot the #3 car, while newcomer Chang Yilin, who wowed the paddock in Zhuzhou, will return to the #7 car with Bin Zejing. As for the independent drivers, Liu Sen and Tian Feng will compete for the third consecutive race, while Gong Guanxiong will team up with Luo Yuanzheng in the #429 car. Chinese racing star Wu Yifan will compete in all stages of the Ningbo race except the main race, piloting a Geely green methanol-powered car.
