Jimmy Eriksson, born on March 14, 1991, is a Swedish race car driver with a diverse background in various motorsport categories. He began his karting career in 2005 and quickly rose through the ranks, securing the Swedish Formula Yamaha Championship in 2008. This early success paved the way for his transition to car racing in 2009, where he joined Motopark Academy in the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup. Eriksson demonstrated his potential by winning a race at Alastaro Circuit and finishing sixteenth overall in the championship. He further expanded his experience by participating in selected races in Formula Renault 2.0 NEZ, Formula Renault 2.0 Sweden, and Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0.
In 2010, Eriksson progressed to the German Formula Three Championship, again with Motopark Academy, and finished sixth in the points standings. The following year, he competed in the Formula 3 Euro Series. A return to German Formula Three in 2012 proved highly successful, as he clinched the championship title with an impressive eight wins and seventeen podium finishes. Eriksson continued to climb the motorsport ladder, entering the GP3 Series and later the GP2 Series, showcasing his ambition and adaptability.
Beyond single-seaters, Eriksson has also ventured into GT racing. In 2017, he joined HTP Motorsport to race a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup. Partnering with Dominik Baumann, he achieved a fifth-place finish at Misano and a seventh-place finish in Hungary. More recently, in 2024, Eriksson has been competing in the STCC Electrified series, achieving multiple wins at Mantorp and Knutstorp.
