From July 4 to 6, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing China GR86 Cup 2025 will have another two-round showdown at Ningbo International Circuit. This season's racing elites will gather again in Ningbo, and a group of powerful rookies will also unlock new racing experiences. The third race of the season is about to start.

Fight again in Ningbo, a hot battle at the junction of mountains and seas

This is the second time the event has visited Ningbo International Circuit. This Chinese racing sanctuary built at the junction of mountains and sea is a second-level track certified by the International Automobile Federation (FIA). The entire track is 4.01 kilometers long and 12-18 meters wide. There are 22 corners with different speeds and radii, and the maximum height difference is 24 meters. The track has long straights and many combined corners, showing STOP & GO characteristics, which puts strict requirements on the power output and braking performance of the car.

The event presented two rounds of fierce competition in the previous station. After two actual battles, the contestants have established a deeper understanding of the track and are expected to show stronger speed in this station. According to the weather forecast, Ningbo will continue to have high temperatures this weekend, which will put higher requirements on the driver's physical fitness, tire management and other abilities.

In addition, the event will be held at this station together with the CEC China Automobile Endurance Championship, presenting a colorful racing weekend. Participating drivers will also have the opportunity to continuously improve through exchanges with national-level racers.

Famous players set out, newcomers emerge

Coming to the third station of the season, the event continues to gather racing elites from all over the country. In the Elite Group (MT), Lifeng Racing will once again bring two national-level race stars, Wang Hao and Lin Lifeng, to compete in this station, aiming to continue the winning streak. LEVEL Motorsports' Hu Hanzhong, who successfully landed on the podium in the first two stations of the season, will once again challenge for honor. Liu Ran of the GEEKE Jike team and the racing star Liu Zilong of Unicorn Racing will return to the field. Sun Zhenggang of Shanghai Hanting DRT Team is about to have his first race.

In the Excellence Group (AT), DTM Racing has a new lineup. Ren Dazhuang and newcomer Li Hanze will go together, and Zhang Zhanhe, a drift driver, will continue to compete for DTM Motorsports. Champion Lv Sixiang will once again compete for Prime Racing in this station and will partner with GT star Han Lichao. LEO Racing's Lv Yifei will make his debut in this event this weekend. Monkey Racing's Guo Haozhang will compete in the Greater Bay Area Group in Ningbo.

On Thursday, the Ningbo station ushered in the practice session. The major drivers faced the heat wave and drove on the track for hot test drives, fully preparing for this weekend's showdown.

Lifeng Racing Lin Lifeng

This station ushered in high temperature weather, and the Ningbo International Circuit is famous for its many bends. The drivers' physical strength will be consumed quickly, which will put a severe test on the drivers. At the same time, the heat dissipation and tires of the car will also face challenges. We will try our best to manage the tires and vehicle status on the track to fight against the high temperature. We completed the initial test drive today and have received positive signals. I believe that we will have a better performance than the previous station.

DTM Racing Ren Dazhuang

Today is hot, and my lap time in the test drive still has room for improvement. My team and I have prepared ice suits and other equipment to fight the high temperature. I believe this station will be a challenge of endurance. In this station, I look forward to defeating my opponents in the competition and continuing to make breakthroughs in performance.

Unicorn Racing Liu Zilong

After the analysis and help of the engineers, my lap time in the test drive has improved to a certain extent, but it has not yet reached the goal. I hope to continue to work hard in the future. I have been busy with my studies in the first half of the year. I have been away from the track for half a year and I can't wait to return to the track. The weather will be the dominant factor in this race. The high temperature is a challenge to the vehicle's tuning, tire performance and driver's physical strength. I have also made corresponding preparations and hope to break through the previous results in this race.

LEO Racing Lü Yifei

The preparations for this race were rather hasty, but I quickly got familiar with the characteristics of this car. This car is easy to control and fun. I haven't practiced for a long time, and I just had the opportunity to practice through this race, and I hope to bring it back safely in the race.
