2025 FIA F4 China Championship Ningbo Opening Round is about to start
News & Announcements China Ningbo International Circuit April 8
From April 18 to 20, the FIA Formula 4 China Championship will kick off the 2025 season in Ningbo, and the new golden season will start here.
Since its grand opening in 2017, Ningbo International Circuit has been an important part of the FIA Formula 4 China Championship schedule. Ningbo International Circuit not only brings exciting competition to the event, but also witnesses the domestic debut of the M21-F4 car and the successful conclusion of the pre-season test.
Track Analysis
Ningbo International Circuit is a second-level track designed by internationally renowned track designer Alan and certified by FIA and FIM. The total length of the entire track is 4.01 kilometers, with 22 corner designs of different speeds and radii (including 13 left turns and 9 right turns). The track rises and falls with the mountain, and the height difference between the lowest point and the highest point is 24 meters.
Turning No. 1 in front of the starting area of the track is a false turn. After passing the Champion Bridge, it enters Turns 2, 3 and 4, which are frequent places for exciting overtaking.
Leaving Turn 4, after a short straight line, there are four consecutive bends, which puts high demands on the driver's steering and throttle control.
Turn 9 is the first hairpin bend on the track. The drivers' decision on the cornering point and the competition of braking create many overtaking scenes.
After passing the nearly right-angled Turn 10 and two zigzags, the car came to the second hairpin, which tested the driver's ability to control braking.
Entering the downhill section, the four consecutive turns not only test the driver's driving skills, but also require the correct balance adjustment of the car.
Turns 19-21 are the last three consecutive turns, preparing for the acceleration out of the turn on the starting straight.
Continuous excitement
Last season, the four-round finals of Ningbo International Circuit finally produced four different winners. Henan Venom Motorsport driver Oscar Pedersen and Black Blade Racing Liao Qishun took the lead on the first day of the race, and Apollo RFN Racing Team by Blackjack Jiang Fukang and Hoang Dat Sawer shone in the two finals on Sunday. As the first final of the M21-F4 car at Ningbo International Circuit, overtaking continued in the four-round finals of the 2024 season. Zeng Zilun and Lin Liqing, who participated in the event for the first time, both successfully stepped onto the podium, which also made the first battle of rookies such as Andrey Dubynin this season more exciting.
The FIA Formula 4 China Championship Ningbo Station will not only compete with GR86 CUP and "Yongzheweiwang" and other events, but will also continue to bring exciting off-site activities and entertainment projects to the audience, bringing a more diversified viewing experience.
After the opening match of the 2025 FIA Formula 4 China Championship Ningbo, it will move to well-known domestic circuits such as Shanghai International Circuit and Tianfu International Circuit, and finally usher in the annual closing competition at Wuhan International Circuit. Let us witness the presentation of the wonderful season together.
