Venom Motorsport was founded in 2024 by Formula One legend Shang Zongyi. The team reached peak form in its inaugural season, with Oscar Pedersen winning the Drivers' Championship. This season, Venom Motorsport returns with a new lineup featuring four Chinese drivers: Wang Yuzhe, Yu Yan, Wang Zihuai, and Yang Peng, to challenge the Dongpeng Special Drink FIA F4 Formula China Championship.

Venom Motorsport won the Drivers' Championship and the Constructors' Championship last season. Team Manager Shang Zongyi believes last season's success will lay a solid foundation for this season. "Some of his (Oscar Pedersen's) data has been extremely helpful to our drivers. We will also use his settings and lap times as a reference for other drivers, which will also be of great help to them."

Wang Yuzhe finished fourth in his Formula One debut season. After participating in overseas races during the winter, Wang Yuzhe returned to the Dongpeng Special Drink FIA F4 Formula China Championship. Faced with the rise of younger competitors, Venom Motorsport hopes Wang Yuzhe can win the championship and has set a top-three finish for him: "(Seasonal goals) depend on the strength of the participating drivers each year. Given our current state, our goal is still to be in the top three."

Young karting star Wang Zihuai from Shenzhen made his Formula One debut in Ningbo. Venom Motorsport believes he demonstrated excellent driving talent. Through practice, qualifying, and the finals, Wang Zihuai has gained a deeper understanding of Formula One racing.

The Shanghai Grand Prix marked the Formula One debut of another rising star, Yu Yan. Team manager Shang Zongyi spoke highly of the young driver: "He is a very hardworking and talented driver."

Professional driver Yang Peng continues to compete in the CFGP class for Venom Pole Motorsport. Shang Zongyi believes Yang Peng will be a significant aid to the growth of his younger teammates. "Yang Peng is a very experienced driver, having driven Formula One cars for many years. He shares his experience with other young drivers during races, which is extremely helpful."

The season opener kicked off at Ningbo International Circuit. Wang Yuzhe gained three positions in the first round, while Wang Zihuai entered the points zone in his Formula One debut, achieving a double-point finish for Venom Motorsport in the season opener. In the second round finale held that afternoon, Wang Zihuai and Wang Yuzhe went one step further, taking second and third place in the F4 class. Yang Peng of Venom Pole Motorsport also opened his points account in this race. On Sunday, Wang Yuzhe and Wang Zihuai once again secured valuable points for Venom Motorsport in Round 3. Wang Yuzhe, with multiple overtakes in Round 4, secured another third place in the F4 class, while Wang Zihuai also finished in the points in his Formula One debut. CFGP driver Yang Peng secured two Challenge Cup third-place finishes for the team.

The second race of the year took place at the Shanghai International Circuit. Yu Yan finished seventh overall in his first qualifying race and maintained that position in the final round of Round 5, earning Wang Yuzhe another points finish. In Round 6, Wang Yuzhe battled five opponents for the overall ranking, earning him and the team four points. In round seven, Wang Yuzhe, starting from the back, made several impressive overtakes, allowing Yu Yan to score points for the third consecutive round. Wang Yuzhe returned to the points zone in round eight, and Yu Yan won the Best Rookie award. Venom Pole Motorsport's Yang Peng secured third place for the team in the Challenge Cup in round seven on Sunday.

The third race of the year moved to the Zhuhai International Circuit. Yu Yan maintained his strong qualifying form, finishing in the top four in the second qualifying session. Wang Yuzhe performed exceptionally well in the finals, stubbornly finishing seventh overall in round nine despite a damaged rear wing. He briefly finished in the top three in round ten. Yu Yan converted his qualifying performance into points in round eleven, and both drivers secured a double-point finish for the team in round twelfth. Venom Pole Motorsport's Yang Peng secured second place in the Challenge Cup and third place in the CFGP class in Saturday's two-round finals.

Fearless of challenges, creating the future! Let us all look forward to Venom Motorsport achieving breakthroughs in the upcoming Dongpeng Special Drink FIA F4 Formula China Championship and Wuhan rounds, cultivating more young talent for Chinese motorsport!
