China GT pre-season warm-up practice day was held in the rain

On March 28, the pre-season warm-up of the new season of the China GT China Supercar Championship officially kicked off at the Ningbo International Circuit. Due to the arrival of strong cold air, the temperature in Ningbo dropped sharply and it rained continuously. However, the bad weather could not stop the racing enthusiasm of the teams. The powerful teams and racing masters from all over the country gathered again and jointly opened a new chapter for Chinese GT racing in the rain.

China GT completed three free practice sessions on Friday. The low temperature, variable rainfall and extremely slippery road surface brought extreme challenges to all participants, but at the same time, this was also a rare testing opportunity. All teams and drivers are striving for progress while maintaining stability. On the one hand, they focus on the changes in weather factors and track environment, and on the other hand, they accumulate and collect vehicle data through a large amount of driving mileage, optimize the car tuning, and lay a solid foundation for tomorrow's pre-season warm-up and the upcoming new season.

GT3 newcomers 610Racing team Yu Kuai/Xu Zhefeng drove the No. 610 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II to the top of the results list on the practice day. The team ran 1:52.752 in the first free practice session, which became the fastest lap of the day, and then led the field again in the third free practice session. Due to the intensification of rain in the subsequent period, no other driver was able to challenge the fastest lap created by Yu Kuai/Xu Zhefeng at the end of the first practice session. Another team of 610Racing team, Pan Deng/Yang Xiaowei, also continuously improved their competitive state and driving rhythm in multiple rounds of test runs, and won the fourth place in the second and third practice sessions.

Harmony Racing team Li Hanyu and Ou Ziyang, two new track stars, teamed up to challenge the highest category. The two drivers drove the only Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO car on the field and performed well in the second free practice session, winning the first place in the heavy rain with 2:04.557. Comprehensive three practice sessions, Li Hanyu/Ou Ziyang team completed the most 60 laps of test mileage on the field, becoming the "model worker" today, and the two drivers are also the fastest GT3 AM combination today.

The champion combination of Fang Junyu and Wang Yibo from UNO Racing Team once achieved good results for most of the first practice session. In the end, the two drivers drove the No. 85 Audi GT3 car with the exclusive paint of the trendy clothing brand EVISU to achieve the second fastest result of the day. Wang Yibo encountered the test of rain in his first China GT Ningbo trip. In the practice session, he drove on the slippery road and worked hard to improve himself. Although the No. 85 car encountered a thrilling moment in the second practice session, the UNO Racing Team and their champion Fang Junyu will help Wang Yibo build confidence and make progress in the rain battle through his rich experience in the field.

In the GT3 Masters category, Youpeng Racing driver Shen Jian achieved the fastest result in the first practice session, but the best results in the second and third practice sessions were both taken by Incipient Racing driver Xiao Min. It can be seen that the two drivers were evenly matched in today's fastest lap performance.

Harmony Racing team Luo Kailuo/Wang Yongjie drove the BMW M4 GT4 to challenge the GTS category. The two drivers continued to speed up in practice and repeatedly contributed wonderful performances. After three practice sessions, the two drivers recorded a total of 56 laps of test runs, with the fastest result today being 2:05.553.

On Saturday, China GT pre-season warm-up will usher in two 15-minute qualifying sessions and one race (38 minutes + 1 lap).
