2025 CTCC China Cup Ordos Station Review
News & Announcements China Ordos International Circuit August 12
On August 10, the 2025 CTCC China Auto Circuit Professional League Ordos concluded at the Ordos International Circuit. The second round of the CTCC China Cup final featured another exciting moment in the final stages. Gao Huayang of the SAIC Volkswagen 333 Team, with a strong performance in the final lap, completed a series of overtakes and secured the victory, taking first place overall and the TCS class championship. Liu Ning/Zhao Shiyan/Wu Yifan of the Zhejiang 326 Team won the TCR class. An Junda/Guo Shen of the Beijing Qidu Team came from behind to reverse the situation and win the TC1 class. Bao Xuejiao/Liu Chao of the LPCC Team rebounded strongly from yesterday's retirement to win the TC2 class. Li Jiajun/Yu Xiaobo of the Shenzhen Bonu Team advanced further to become the new winners of the TC3 class.
The second round of the "55-minute + 1-lap" final, held on the grasslands of northern Xinjiang, was once again filled with thrilling duels and fierce attack and defense. The intense competition also led to numerous unexpected events, resulting in two safety car deployments. Coincidentally, with the pit stop window open, many teams chose to complete their mandatory pit stops under the safety car. The race became not only a test of speed, but also a battle of tactics between the participating teams, and a test of efficiency and precision in their pit stops.
In the bustling pit area, some teams leveraged excellent pit stops to gain an advantage, while others made mistakes in their pit procedures due to the rush. Multiple post-race penalties also influenced the final outcome of the race.
TCS Class: Gao Huayang's last-minute comeback
SAIC Volkswagen Lingdu L car concludes race with victory
The safety car period consumed a significant portion of the race time. After the second safety car withdrawal, the field had only one lap left to sprint. Starting from the back of the pack, Gao Huayang, driver of the SAIC Volkswagen 333, maintained a relentless attack in the first half of the race, overtaking the lead group and ultimately joining the overall race with a brilliant pit stop strategy. On the final lap, Gao Huayang fired on all cylinders, overtaking the two cars ahead of him in quick succession to cross the finish line in first place and the TCS class title, effectively putting aside the shadow of yesterday's retirement.
The Beijing Feizi Racing Team's Liang Qi/Ma Yueying team continued their solid performance from the first round final, further improving their season-best finish in the class, finishing second in the TCS class. Sun Chao/Tang Shuyan, also from the SAIC Volkswagen 333 Team, started from pole position and led for much of the race. However, a late-race decline in vehicle condition and a time penalty resulting from a pit stop procedure error cost them a chance to win again, ultimately finishing third in the TCS class.

It's worth noting that this race also marked the final race for the SAIC Volkswagen Lingdu L. Gao Huayang, who concluded his Ordos journey with a perfect record and this classic car, gave a post-race speech: "I've competed in races across the country with the SAIC Volkswagen 333 Team and this Lingdu L, sharing many unforgettable experiences and wonderful memories. To stand on the podium at the final race with this 'old partner' is a dream come true. I'm grateful to the team and the Lingdu L." Gao Huayang revealed that they will be replacing their car at the next race. Let's all look forward to the debut of the SAIC Volkswagen 333 Team's all-new car!
TCR Class: Liu Ning/Zhao Shiyan/Wu Yifan Take First Place
The TCR class championship battle centered on the Zhejiang 326 Racing Team's Liu Ning/Zhao Shiyan/Wu Yifan and the Ningbo Jinyutu GYT Racing Team's Tu Yat/Wang Honghao. Round 1 class winners Tu Yat/Wang Honghao successfully held off the attack of Liu Ning/Zhao Shiyan/Wu Yifan in the first half of the race to maintain their lead. However, Liu Ning/Zhao Shiyan/Wu Yifan seized the opportunity presented by the first safety car period to make a forced pit stop, successfully executing an "undercut" tactical move to take the class lead and maintain their advantage until the end. This marked the first class victory of the season for Liu Ning/Zhao Shiyan/Wu Yifan. Tu Yat and Wang Honghao finished second in their category for the second consecutive round. 300+ Team's rising star driver Yang Zheng returned to the podium, finishing third in his category.

TC1 Category: An Junda/Guo Shen Make a Comeback
Beijing Qidu Racing's An Junda/Guo Shen were unfortunately eliminated from yesterday's race due to a collision and were forced to start from the back of the field today. However, relying on their strong performance, An Junda/Guo Shen clawed back significant ground in the early stages, engaging in a close battle with the top two teams in their category: Xie Yang/Yang Cheng of the Beijing DTM Racing Team, and Wang Tao/Hua Zezheng/Song Fei of the Beijing Feizi Racing Team. Coming from behind, An Junda/Guo Shen were the first to break through in the fierce battle, securing victory in this round. Xie Yang/Yang Cheng and Wang Tao/Hua Zezheng/Song Fei took second and third place in their respective categories.
