From August 8th to 10th, the fourth round of the 2025 CTCC China Auto Circuit Professional Series will be held at the Ordos International Circuit. This marks the return of this top-tier touring car series to Inner Mongolia after 12 years and marks the beginning of the second half of the 2025 CTCC season.
After three intense races in Jiading, Shanghai; Ningbo, Zhejiang; and Keqiao, Shaoxing, the first half of the CTCC season has come to a close. Throughout these three races across three cities, Sailun, as the exclusive tire supplier for the CTCC China Cup and TCR Asia Series, provided high-quality racing tires and professional support services, helping a host of talented drivers achieve championship glory.
A Powerful Contest of Racing Teams
The 2025 CTCC season welcomed its largest field of competitors since its inception, with over 120 cars competing in the annual opening race. The CTCC China Cup and TCR Asia Series, both of which Sailun serves as the official tire supplier, also featured numerous strong top teams.
The CTCC China Cup saw the participation of numerous teams with a long history of national touring car racing, including SAIC Volkswagen 333 Racing, Lynk & Co Zongheng Racing, Zhuzhou Jiren Ziyou Tianxiang Racing, and Zhejiang 326 Racing.
The TCR Asia Series welcomes a refreshed lineup this season, featuring strong Chinese teams like Guangzhou Spark Racing, Team TRC, Chengdu RevX Racing, and Shanghai Z.SPEED Community, as well as top international teams like Eurasia Motorsport and Z.SPEED MAS. A host of talented drivers from both series will present a thrilling on-track showdown for fans.
Rising Stars Emerge in the China Cup
"Rising Stars Shine on the Track" was the theme of the first half of the 2025 CTCC China Cup season. From the very beginning, several talented drivers emerged and achieved numerous victories.
In late April, the season-opening race kicked off in Jiading, Shanghai. Han Chang/Jin Qiang took the lead in the first round, securing a successful start to the season for the Zhuzhou Jiren Ziyou Tianxiang Racing Team. The Jiangmen Xingrui Racing Team, competing in a single-car formation, made a strong run in the second round, with Cheng Chunhua taking the overall victory.
In May, the Zhejiang Ningbo race kicked off under the scorching summer heat. The race tires demonstrated excellent stability in the scorching weather, laying a solid foundation for the drivers to achieve outstanding results. In the first round, the Zhuzhou Jiren Ziyou Tianxiang Racing Team's No. 21 car, comprised of Han Chang and Jin Qiang, secured another victory, reaching the top step of the podium. In the second round, Yan Chuang of the Fancy Zongheng Racing Team's No. 27 car achieved a breakthrough, securing both the overall and TCS class titles.
At the end of June, heavy rain at the end of the first round of the Shaoxing Keqiao Grand Prix brought the race to an early end. Gao Huayang of the SAIC Volkswagen 333 team emerged victorious amidst the chaos, securing his first win of the season. In the second round, young driver Yang Zheng of the 300+ team outperformed a group of veterans to take the overall victory, a testament to the shining moments of rising star drivers.
TCR Asia Series: International Showdown
The TCR Asia Series, which brings together many renowned touring car drivers from China and the Asia-Pacific region, was equally exciting. In the first round of the year held at the Shanghai International Circuit, Zhang Boshang, a veteran of GT and touring car racing, represented Chengdu RevX Racing in a 13-lap sprint race, winning the first round. Liu Zichen, a key member of the Zhejiang 326 Racing Team, fought back strongly in the second round of the Shanghai Jiading race, crossing the finish line with a massive 15-second advantage to claim the championship trophy.
At the Zhejiang Ningbo race, Zhang Yishang once again demonstrated excellent competitive form in the first round, securing victory. In the second round, frequent track accidents disrupted the race several times, but Liu Zichen maintained a steady pace and led the way, securing the championship.
After four rounds of the TCR Asia Series, Zhang Boshang and Liu Zichen each secured two wins, securing the top two spots in the Drivers' Championship. In addition, rising stars like Guangzhou Spark Racing's Sun Juran and Team TRC's Chen Haoting also demonstrated exceptional speed. Sailun will continue to support the series in the second half of the season, presenting a thrilling feast of speed alongside the elite drivers.
