In the 2025 season, the CTCC China Cup returns with glory, attracting more traditional teams and new forces to join the race. The new force in the car world, Yile Racing, has confirmed its participation in the China Cup competition throughout the year this season, writing a new chapter of chasing dreams on the stage of CTCC.

Dreams as horses, start again

Yile Racing has a unique temperament in the paddock. The founder Gu Zhiyu is both the main driver and the chief technical officer, and personally led the research and development of the car; the team manager Zhang Mingxu also operates in the dual roles of "driver + manager". In 2024, the team debuted on the field with a newly built BMW 1 Series racing car, and participated in the Sports Cup Shanghai, Daqing Station and many local events. After technical optimization throughout the year, the team has the conditions to participate in the full season.

Zhang Mingxu said: "It can be said that we are a team driven by dreams, and our dream is to participate in a full season of CTCC and compete with many domestic masters! Our new car was limited by stability problems and performance release last season, and failed to achieve satisfactory results. Now that most of the problems of the car have been solved, we think it's time to pursue our dream of running a full year of CTCC!"

Yile Racing will adopt a two-car lineup in the 2025 season, sending 1 to 2 cars to participate in different sub-stations. "We are one of the few rear-wheel drive cars in the China Cup. The main drivers of the No. 116 (tentative car number) are still Gu Zhiyu and Zhang Mingxu. In some sub-stations, there will be some partners who are also passionate about racing to join us to drive another car."

Last race complex, the ultimate test of the speed temple

In the 2025 season, the CTCC China Cup will visit first-class tracks in Shanghai Jiading, Ningbo, Zhejiang, Shaoxing, Zhejiang, Zhuzhou, Hunan, and other places, and will compete in six stations throughout the year. Zhang Mingxu is particularly looking forward to conquering the Formula One track, the Shanghai International Circuit. "The Shanghai International Circuit is the highest-specification track in China, and for every Chinese car fan who has loved racing since childhood, it is also the most intimate track. I have participated in CTCC as a driver in Shanghai three times, and I enjoy driving a car here every time."

In addition, Zhang Mingxu also believes that there are many high-speed corners in Shanghai, which are more in line with the dynamic characteristics of rear-wheel drive cars, and the Yile team is expected to take the lead in the Shanghai Jiading station.

Pragmatic pursuit of dreams, the offensive declaration of the new forces

Facing the CTCC China Cup, which is full of masters, the Yile Racing Team showed a clear understanding of the new force: "We are still a very young team with limited experience. The team's goal this season is to stand on the podium of the group first."

While setting a pragmatic goal for the competition, Zhang Mingxu is also eager for the highest honor in his heart: "If I can make a wish in the wishing well, I hope our team can win at least one race championship.
