Pangkalahatang-ideya ng Racer

Claudia Hürtgen, born on September 10, 1971, is a highly accomplished German racing driver with a diverse and impressive career spanning several racing disciplines. Hürtgen began her motorsport journey in karting before transitioning to single-seaters. She competed in German Formula Three, however, her single-seater career was cut short due to hand injuries sustained in a crash during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend in 1993.

Undeterred, Hürtgen successfully transitioned to touring car racing, winning the Austrian Touring Car Championship in 1995. This marked the beginning of a long and fruitful career in touring cars and GT racing. She achieved significant success in the FIA GT Championship, securing multiple class wins and a strong finish in the drivers' standings. In 2000, she won the Monaco Historic Grand Prix driving a Maserati. Between 2003 and 2004, she won Germany's Deutsche Tourenwagen Challenge (DTC) twice. Continuing her success, Hürtgen won the VLN Endurance Racing Series championship in 2005, becoming the first female champion since 1998.

Hürtgen's career includes participation in prestigious events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the American Le Mans Series, where she achieved class wins. More recently, she ventured into electric racing, joining the ABT CUPRA XE team for the Extreme E series in 2021. In addition to her racing achievements, Hürtgen has also been involved in driver instruction, notably as the Chief Instructor for BMW and MINI Driving Experience.
