Climax Racing returns with two cars for GTWC Asia Cup

Climax Racing has officially confirmed that it will send two Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo cars to compete in the 2025 GT World Challenge Asia Cup (GTWC Asia Cup)! Zhou Bihuang and Ralf Aron will compete in the Pro-Am category as the No. 2 car, and Zhang Yaqi and Ling Kang will form a strong Silver-Am lineup in the No. 44 car!


Car Team No. 2 (Zhou Bihuang/Ralf Aron)

Climax Racing main fighter Zhou Bihuang will partner with Mercedes-AMG official driver Ralf Aron to drive car No. 2 to compete for the honor of the Pro-Am group. Zhou Bihuang has rich GT racing experience. He performed well in the GTWC Asia Cup last season and helped Climax Racing win the first overall championship in team history at the Suzuka Station in Japan.

Ralf Aron also performed brilliantly in the GTWC Asia Cup last season, helping the team win pole position at home and take the podium in the season finale in Shanghai.

Zhou Bihuang and Ralf Aron have been working together to drive the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo car in the Asian Le Mans Series from the end of last year to the beginning of this year, and have performed brilliantly in the competition. The Pro-Am lineup composed of two drivers who work well together will hit new peaks in the new season.


Car No. 44 (Zhang Yaqi/Ling Kang) The No. 44 car driven by Zhang Yaqi and Ling Kang will join the Silver-Am category. Zhang Yaqi has rich experience in GT3 racing. Last year, he participated in the Shanghai 8-hour endurance race with Climax Racing and successfully climbed the podium. At the end of the year, he won the overall championship at the CEC China Automobile Endurance Championship Zhuhai Station.

Since the establishment of Climax Racing, professional driver Ling Kang has been fighting side by side with the team for many years, and has won honors in major events at home and abroad such as CEC China Automobile Endurance Championship, PCCA Asia Porsche Carrera Cup, Asian Le Mans Series, Shanghai 8 Hours Endurance Race, etc. Zhang Yaqi and Ling Kang have rich experience in partnership, and this season they will strive to win new honors in the GTWC Asia Cup.

Climax Racing participated in the GTWC Asia Cup in 2024, winning one overall championship and one overall runner-up in this top Asian GT arena. The 2025 GTWC Asia Cup will kick off at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia from April 11 to 13, and will then visit famous circuits such as Mandalika in Indonesia, Buriram in Thailand, Fuji in Japan, and Okayama in Japan, and finally end at the brand new Beijing Yizhuang Street Circuit.
