Six cars set out for CTCC, 326 Racing Team achieved fruitful results in Ningbo

From May 9th to 11th, the second stop of the 2025 CTCC China Automobile Circuit Professional League was held at Ningbo International Circuit. The 326 Racing Team launched six arrows at the same time. In the two rounds of the weekend, a strong lineup of six Audi RS3 LMS TCR racing cars was used to fight in multiple groups at the same time. The team's main Liu Zichen won the second race on Sunday and topped the TCR Asia at home! Lai Jingwen of the No. 52 car group performed steadily in the TCR China arena where masters gathered, and he was on the podium of the group for two consecutive rounds!

The second round of the CTCC season will be held at the Ningbo International Circuit, the home of the 326 Racing Team. During the pre-race preparation stage, all members of the team were very motivated and actively participated in the paid tests and practice sessions. At the same time, they carefully analyzed the track data and optimized the performance of the car, aiming to show competitiveness in the home game.

#51 Wu Yifan TCR China Championship

Wu Yifan continued his excellent competitive form, playing steadily in the qualifying session affected by heavy rain, and advanced in Q1 with a score of 2:03.585. Entering Q2, as the track gradually dried, Wu Yifan used new dry tires to play, and significantly refreshed his fastest lap speed in the first two stages, but unfortunately, the rear end of the qualifying was interrupted by a red flag, and Wu Yifan failed to further improve his ranking and finally ranked seventh.

In the first round of the race on Saturday, Wu Yifan unfortunately came into contact with a car at the start, which slightly affected his speed, but then he made full use of the experience accumulated on the home track and quickly overtook to the top five of the field. The safety car caused by the accident at the beginning of the race also allowed Wu Yifan to narrow the gap with the front camp. In the second half of the race, the tires of the No. 51 car were worn out due to the entanglement. A collision with the opponent in the later stage also affected Wu Yifan's speed. However, this powerful driver still withstood the pressure resolutely and finally won the eighth place in the whole race.

Due to the top ten reverse qualifying rules, Wu Yifan started the second round of the race on Sunday in fourth place. At the beginning of the race, Wu Yifan completed a perfect start and came to the second place before Turn 1. Although the race was interrupted by the safety car twice, Wu Yifan still maintained an excellent long-distance race speed and fought fiercely with a group of professional masters on the field. In the end, Wu Yifan drove the No. 51 car to the checkered flag in fifth place.

#52 Lai Jingwen TCR China Championship

Lai Jingwen started the first round of the race on Saturday in the middle group. After completing the start, he continued to chase the Pro group car in front of him, while maintaining the second place in the Am group. However, a safety car during the race caused the car group to be compressed, and Lai Jingwen was under great pressure in the car group in the late stage of the race. Despite facing the state of being attacked from all sides, Lai Jingwen still demonstrated a tenacious spirit of competition, resisted the fierce attack, and won the third place in the Am group.

Coming to the main race on Sunday, thanks to the reverse start, Lai Jingwen will start from the second row of the grid. At the beginning of the race, the No. 52 car was pushed by other cars and fell to eighth place. In the middle of the race, Lai Jingwen gradually climbed up and recovered the lost ground, rising to second place in the Am category, and successfully maintained his position until the end of the race, achieving the achievement of two wins in one week!

#11 Liu Zichen TCR China Challenge

During the Ningbo race weekend, the CTCC Challenge Cup will once again be held at the same venue as the TCR Asia Championship. After adapting to the new racing tires at the Shanghai opening race, Liu Zichen showed a high level of single-lap speed in qualifying, ranking second in the extremely slippery Q1 stage. Entering the Q2 stage, Liu Zichen continued his hot state and ranked second in the field with a score of 2:10.070, and won the first row starting position in the first round.

At the beginning of the first round of the race, Liu Zichen successfully completed the start and then ranked second in the field, waiting for the opportunity to improve his ranking. However, halfway through the race, the No. 11 car suddenly had a mechanical failure. The team mechanics made every effort to repair it after Liu Zichen returned to the maintenance area, but because the failure could not be solved in the short term, Liu Zichen was forced to withdraw from the first round of the Ningbo station early.

The second round was extremely chaotic at the beginning, with many cars colliding. Starting from the ninth place, Liu Zichen performed strongly and improved six positions in the first lap, ranking among the top three in the whole field. After the green flag was restored, Liu Zichen went all out, quickly passed the two cars in front, took the lead, and continued to expand his lead. In the end, Liu Zichen successfully won the home championship on behalf of 326 Racing and won the overall victory!

#92 Qiu Yiheng TCR China Challenge

Qiu Yiheng, who made his debut this season, continued his excellent performance. He performed stably in the two qualifying sessions affected by rain, and won the top ten starting position with a personal best lap time of 2:13.570.

At the beginning of the first round on Saturday, Qiu Yiheng stably maintained the tenth place after the start. However, after the first lap of the race, the No. 92 car collided with the other car in the process of competing for position, and the key parts of the car were damaged, and the ranking continued to slip. In order to ensure that the damage to the car does not expand further, the team can only choose to recall the No. 92 car and withdraw from the race.

In the second round of the race on Sunday, the No. 92 car was penalized to retreat three places after the race due to the collision with other cars yesterday. Qiu Yiheng will chase at the end of the team. After the start, Qiu Yiheng returned to the top ten after the first lap with his quick reaction. In the subsequent race, he continued to strive to catch up and once refreshed the fastest lap time of the whole field. In the end, Qiu Yiheng rebounded strongly after the misfortune of retiring on Saturday, and crossed the finish line in fourth place. At the same time, he won the third place in the Challenge Cup category, bringing back the excellent result of two cars on the stage for the team!

#30 Chen Zhiyu TCR China Challenge

Return to 326 this weekend Racing's Chen Zhiyu's single-lap speed in the qualifying session on Friday has been steadily improved compared to last season. In Q1, he ran 2:15.771. In the subsequent Q2 session, Chen Zhiyu seized the key flying lap opportunity and made a personal best of 2:11.424, ranking seventh in the whole field.

On Saturday morning, the first round of the Ningbo Station officially started. Chen Zhiyu was slightly behind at the start, but in the middle of the game, this powerful driver quickly fought back with excellent speed and improved to sixth. At the end of the event, Chen Zhiyu played close games with many cars on the field, showing outstanding competitive style, and finally finished the race in ninth place.

In the second round, Chen Zhiyu started the race in third place. After the start, the No. 30 car was pushed by the opponent at Turn 1 and fell to the middle of the field. Later, due to an accident on the track, the race organizers deployed the safety car, which allowed Chen Zhiyu to chase the car in front. During the restart phase, Chen Zhiyu was unfortunately hit by the car behind him at Turn 2, causing damage to the No. 30 car and regretful retirement.

#326 Liu Ning, Li Han China Cup

Liu Ning and Li Han continued to fight together in the China Cup TCS category in Ningbo, driving the No. 326 Audi RS3 LMS TCR DSG together. In the first round of the race on Saturday, the two drivers caught up with the back of the starting position and won the fourth place in the group; in the second round of the race on Sunday, Liu Ning and Li Han took a step further with their tacit cooperation and won the third place in the TCS group, and stepped onto the podium of the group for the first time this season.
