Peter James Dumbreck, born on October 13, 1973, is a Scottish professional racing driver with a career spanning various racing disciplines. Dumbreck's early career saw him dominate the 1994 British Formula Vauxhall Junior championship before securing the Formula Vauxhall Championship in 1996. Progressing through the ranks, he finished third in the 1997 British Formula 3 Championship. In 1998, he clinched the Japanese Formula 3 title with a record-breaking eight wins and triumphed at the Macau Grand Prix.

Dumbreck moved to the Formula Nippon championship in 1999, alongside racing for Mercedes-Benz at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Le Mans race ended in a dramatic high-speed accident, from which he fortunately escaped uninjured. From 2000, Dumbreck competed in the German-based DTM series with Mercedes-Benz, achieving a third-place finish in the 2001 season. He later raced for Opel in DTM before returning to Japan's Super GT series, driving for Toyota/Lexus.

Dumbreck is also a 'Nordschleife specialist', with no less than 15 Nürburgring 24 Hours races under his belt. He has driven for Falken Tyre Europe since 2006, achieving a third place overall at the 43rd ADAC Zurich Nürburgring 24 Hour Endurance Race in 2015. In 2017, he set a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record in the NIO EP9, making it the first full electric car to hold the record. Beyond racing, Dumbreck is involved in high-performance automotive development, is a British Cycling race license holder, and is a member of the Shutt Ridley Racing Team.
