The Nürburgring Nordschleife + Grand Prix Circuit (24h Layout) is the ultra-long configuration used for the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Combining the legendary Nordschleife with most of the modern Grand Prix Circuit, it measures 25.378 kilometres and is one of the longest and most complex permanent racing circuits in the world.

A lap begins on the wide and modern Grand Prix Circuit before joining the narrow and highly undulating Nordschleife. These two sections differ significantly in track width, run-off areas, corner sequences and driving style. The Grand Prix section provides more heavy-braking and overtaking opportunities, while the Nordschleife is known for its fast corners, blind crests, dramatic elevation changes and limited margin for error.

The highest and lowest points of the combined circuit are separated by approximately 300 metres, while the lap contains more than 170 corners and changes of direction. Because of its exceptional length, different sections of the circuit can experience different weather and track conditions at the same time. Drivers must also cope with night-time racing, heavy traffic and major speed differences between car classes.

This configuration is primarily used for the Nürburgring 24 Hours and its qualifying races. Cars must combine high-speed stability on the Nordschleife with agility through the slower corners of the Grand Prix Circuit while remaining reliable throughout a long-distance race. Vehicle setup therefore requires a careful balance between several competing performance demands.
