Mantas Janavicius

Mantas Janavicius is a Lithuanian racing driver who has made a name for himself in GT racing. While he may not have started with the traditional karting background, Janavicius began his motorsport journey with junior gravel rally and asphalt slalom events in Lithuania. After a break, he transitioned to circuit racing with GT cars, quickly gaining experience in local sprint and endurance races. A highlight of his regional career has been the Aurum 1006 km race in Lithuania, a challenging 10-hour endurance event where he has achieved multiple podiums and won the Baltic Endurance Championship several times.

In recent years, Janavicius has expanded his racing endeavors to the international stage. He joined the Fanatec GT2 European Series in 2023, partnering with Aurelijus Rusteika for Ebimotors in a Porsche GT2 RS CS Evo. This debut season saw immediate success, including a podium finish at Monza. Driving alongside Rusteika, he has demonstrated impressive consistency, earning several fourth-place finishes and establishing himself as a reliable driver. Janavicius has also participated in the 24H Series, showcasing his endurance racing skills. In the 24H Series, he has driven for teams like Rimo Adero by Ebimotors and MRS GT-Racing.

Known for his cautious and consistent approach, Janavicius hones his skills using a SimRig and applies his experience from local Baltic championships to his international racing. Despite considering himself a "cautious and consistent driver", he is known to be a familiar sight on the podium, always preparing to suprise other drivers. He has also noted the challenge of transitioning from a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup car to the more powerful and torquey GT2 RS CS Evo, highlighting his adaptability as a driver.
