Gu Meng and Min Heng, who lead the GT3 Am standings from Origine Motorsport, will lead eight second-generation Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II cars in the third round of the China GT China Supercar Championship 2025 season at Zhuhai International Circuit. In addition, there are five Am teams from 610Racing, 33R Harmony Racing and UNO Racing. Two other Pro-Am teams will also participate in the two races this weekend. Harmony Racing will send silver driver Liao Qishun to partner with Zhang Yaqi, while former single-seater star driver Li Zhicong will join Yang Baijie to represent the 610Racing team in the season debut.
"The Audi R8 LMS GT3 continues to win the trust of Chinese customers, as evidenced by the eight entries in China GT, the country's top GT3 short-course series," said Alexander Blackie, head of Audi Sport customer racing Asia. "This weekend in Zhuhai, we will provide our customers with industry-leading technical support and spare parts services to fully assist the team in their race."
After four races at the Shanghai International Circuit in April and May, Gu Meng and Min Heng lead the GT3 Am driver standings by 14 points thanks to their second-round class win and three Am class podiums. However, 610 Racing's Pan Deng and Yang Xiaowei also won their class in the season opener and are currently in second place in the standings. They will also go all out to narrow the gap in Zhuhai.
33R Harmony Racing's Jiang Nan and Yang Haojie made their Am podium debut at Round 2 in Shanghai last month and will return for Round 3.
Harmony Racing will field a new Pro-Am team this time, with silver-rated driver Liao Qishun and Zhang Yaqi. Previously, Liao Qishun teamed up with Audi Sport Asia official driver Yu Kuai and won two podiums in the season opener, while Zhang Yaqi teamed up with Lu Zhiwei in the first round to compete in the Am category and won the category podium.
Former international youth single-seater star Li Zhicong, who made his debut in the China GT China Supercar Championship, will partner with Yang Baijie to represent the 610Racing team to form another new Pro-Am group.
The Am group also welcomes multiple new driver lineups, bringing more exciting highlights to the Zhuhai race.
Liu Hangcheng once teamed up with Chen Wei'an to reach the Pro-Am podium in the first round. In this Zhuhai race, he will team up with Am driver Lu Zhiwei to represent the 33R Harmony Racing team. At the same time, UNO Racing, a regular participant in the GT World Challenge Asia Cup, will also reorganize its lineup, with Chen Yechong and Song Yiran participating in the Am category. Chen Yechong previously teamed up with Rio to form a Pro-Am team to participate in the first two rounds of the race, and won the podium in the Shanghai race last month. Song Yiran will return to the team to complete his debut in the China GT Chinese Supercar Championship.
Am driver Bao Junbin will make his GT3 debut alone in the third second-generation Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II car of the 610Racing team.
The Zhuhai International Circuit was built in 1996 and is China's first permanent racing venue. The race will kick off on this track on June 20 (Friday), with two one-hour test sessions and 60 minutes of free practice on the same day. Two 15-minute qualifying sessions will start at 10:00 am on Saturday, followed by the first 55-minute plus one-lap race at 15:45, and the second race will be held at 14:30 pm on Sunday.
