2025 FIA Formula 4 China Championship calendar officially announced

The 2025 FIA Formula 4 China Championship calendar is officially launched! The new season's event awards have been upgraded, and the schedule consists of five sub-stations. The season opener will be held at Ningbo International Circuit. Next, Formula Elites from all over the world will face the challenges of well-known domestic circuits such as Shanghai International Circuit and Tianfu International Circuit, and finally the annual finale will be held at Wuhan International Circuit.

Opening Race丨Ningbo International Circuit

Following the 2022 season, Ningbo International Circuit will once again host the opening race of the FIA Formula 4 China Championship. Ningbo International Circuit is a second-level track certified by the FIA and designed by the internationally renowned track designer Alan. The total length of the track is 4.01 kilometers, with 22 corners of different speeds and radii (including 13 left turns and 9 right turns). The track rises and falls with the mountain, with a height difference of 24 meters between the lowest and highest points, which tests the driver's driving skills and tire protection ability.

The FIA Formula 4 China Championship has witnessed the Ningbo International Circuit becoming an important part of China's motorsports landscape. The 2017 Ningbo Station is a warm tribute to the grand opening of the Ningbo International Circuit. The launch ceremony and the first pre-season test of the second-generation F4 Formula car Mygale M21-F4 were also completed at the Ningbo International Circuit.

R2丨Shanghai International Circuit

The feeling of competing with China's first official F1 driver in the opening match of the 2024 FIA F4 Formula China Championship is still fresh in my memory, and the new generation of Formula elites will set off again on this only F1 track in China this year. This race will continue to use the same track layout as F1, with 16 corners and a 1.2km long straight line waiting for the Formula elites to conquer. After the running-in and adaptation of the opening match, we expect the team drivers to meet the test of this first-level track in a more outstanding state.

In the last Shanghai race, Mercedes-Benz F1 team youth driver Cui Yuanpu won the pole to win in his debut. The rising stars of Chinese motorsports are encouraging, and people are looking forward to the rise of more emerging forces in the Formula One arena in 2025.

R3丨Ningbo International Circuit/Zhuhai International Circuit

After two races, the team drivers regrouped and will compete again in Ningbo International Circuit in June, or start a new round of competition at Zhuhai International Circuit.

The Ningbo International Circuit, which has a combination of long straights and continuous bends, presents the popular Stop & Go feature, which not only places extremely high demands on the power output and braking performance of the car, but also effectively improves the intensity and viewing of the competition. It also applies the world's leading Mylaps X2 intelligent timing system to strive for high-level event presentation.

The second-generation F4 Formula car of the 2024 season made its debut in Ningbo. Four rounds of competition produced four different overall champions. Oscar Pedersen and Liao Qishun won the championship on the first day of the competition, and Jiang Fukang and Hoang Dat Sawer won the championship of both rounds on Sunday.

As China's first permanent international circuit, Zhuhai International Circuit, founded in 1996 and located in Jinding Town, Zhuhai City, is 4.4 kilometers long and has two straight tracks of 900 meters and 500 meters. This track is also the home track of many teams in the event.

The 2024 Shell Helix FIA Formula 4 China Championship completed the last two rounds of the finals at the Zhuhai International Circuit. Henan Venom Motorsport Oscar Pedersen won the championship in the 17th round, and Fu Yuhao won the second championship of the season in the 18th round. In the end, Henan Venom Motorsport Oscar Pedersen won the annual driver championship, and the annual team championship was Black Blade Racing.

R4丨Tianfu International Circuit

The FIA F4 Formula China Championship will land on Tianfu International Circuit for the second time this season. The track was planned and designed by the world's top track designer Alan according to the FIA first-level track standards. The track is 3263.728 meters long and 14-16 meters wide. There are a total of 19 bends, including 12 left bends and 7 right bends; there are 4 uphill sections and 3 downhill sections, with the maximum uphill longitudinal slope of 5.141% and the maximum downhill longitudinal slope of 4.968%; the maximum straight section is 589 meters long.

The 2024 season Tianfu International Circuit entered the schedule for the first time. More than 20 domestic and foreign Formula One elites brought four rounds of exciting competition to celebrate the opening of this track. Oscar Pedersen won the first victory of the season, laying the foundation for the season championship. The home drivers represented by Zhang Siqi also won the honor at home. Fighting again at the popular Tianfu International Circuit, I believe that the team drivers will once again set off a Formula One craze.

R5丨Wuhan International Circuit

The Wuhan International Circuit is located in the Wuhan Intelligent Connected Vehicle Test Field. It is 4.29 kilometers long, 12-21 meters wide, and has a total of 17 turns in a clockwise direction. In 2024, a number of high-level automobile events under the China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation will be officially announced to be held at the Wuhan International Circuit. The 2025 FIA Formula 4 China Championship will also be held at this track located in the "China Auto Valley", allowing Wuhan citizens to enjoy the exciting competition brought by domestic and foreign Formula elites at the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone at their doorstep.

F4, Formula 4, is a formula event founded by the International Automobile Federation in 2014. Teenagers aged 15 or above can participate in the event after receiving the formula training course.
