Asian Le Mans | Official practice day gets off to a good start, Polestar tops GT results table

On February 7, the 2024-2025 Asian Le Mans Series Dubai Station in the United Arab Emirates officially opened the official practice for the race weekend. After completing the pre-race test, the two Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo cars of Climax Racing performed well in the official practice, showing the speed of China in the top Asian event where masters gathered.

In the first practice session, Lucas Auer was the first to enter the cockpit of the No. 14 car. After warming up the tires, he made the fastest lap of the GT group at 1:58.789. After that, Chinese drivers Ling Kang and Lu Wei appeared respectively and completed 34 laps of long-distance driving together.

In the second practice session, the team also performed stably. Chinese driver Lv Wei took the lead and made a personal fastest lap time of 2:00.849. Following closely, Lucas Auer drove the car and made a time of 1:59.933, raising the team's ranking to 4th in the GT category. Then Ling Kang took over the car for a long-distance drive of 10 laps. At the end of the practice session, Lv Wei took over again. The team completed a total of 39 laps and accumulated rich data.

The No. 2 car team was participated by two drivers, Zhou Bihuang and Ralf Aron, in the first practice session. Zhou Bihuang continuously refreshed the single lap time at the beginning of the practice session and made the fastest single lap time of 2:00.740. In the second half of the practice session, Ralf Aron completed a long distance of nearly 20 laps, and the car team successfully completed the first practice session.

In the second practice session in the afternoon, the team allocated driving time so that each driver could get time to adapt to the track and prepare for tomorrow's race in advance. Elias Seppanen took the lead and then handed the car to Zhou Bihuang. Zhou Bihuang made the fastest lap time in the team at 2:00.462, ranking 14th in the group. In the second half of the practice session, Zhou Bihuang, Elias Seppanen and Ralf Aron continued to take turns driving, and finally completed the 37-lap mileage test.

Tomorrow, the 2024-2025 Asian Le Mans Series will start two rounds of qualifying and the first round of the race. Climax Racing will go all out to bring the speed advantage to the race and strive to get better results!
