OK Racing wins double crown in TCE category at the 2025 CEC Chengdu Opening
News & Announcements China Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit June 23
From May 30 to June 1, 2025, the 2025 Xiaomi China Auto Endurance Championship completed the season opener at Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit. Thanks to the outstanding performance of Zhang Zecheng/Liu Donghan and Wen Jiangtao/Yang Yang, the OK Racing team had a perfect start in the GT Cup TCE category and won two victories.
OK Racing team leader Zhang Zecheng and the promising "post-05" rising star Liu Donghan drove the No. 12 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR to participate in this race. The two drivers with outstanding speed showed an absolute kingly attitude in the first round finals, and defeated many powerful high-horsepower GT cars in the overall score, crossing the finish line with the sixth place in the whole field and the champion of the TCE group. But unfortunately, in the process of striving for consecutive victories in the second round, Zhang Zecheng/Liu Donghan were affected by a collision accident in the early stage of the race, and the vehicle was damaged and could not persist, so they had to withdraw from the competition.
In this ups and downs weekend, Zhang Zecheng/Liu Donghan believe that compared with the results, the accumulation of experience is more valuable to the entire team. The two concluded: "This race brought a lot of experience to the entire team. Whether it is dynamic start, driving time allocation, tactical arrangement, and strategy execution, we have learned a lot and seen a lot of room for improvement. From the driving rhythm, we performed well. We hope to lay a good foundation for the team through this race, and we will continue to improve and progress in the next journey."
Wen Jiangtao/Yang Yang, two newcomers in the No. 11 Audi RS 3 LMS SEQ, spent a "first down and then up" race weekend. In their first expedition to the difficult Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit, Wen Jiangtao/Yang Yang encountered a collision accident during the practice test run. Faced with setbacks, the two drivers did not lose heart, but regained their confidence and stepped into the showdown on the race day. In the first round, Wen Jiangtao/Yang Yang swept away the previous haze, started from the end of the team and fought all the way to successfully win the runner-up in the TCE category. In the second round, the Wen Jiangtao/Yang Yang team went one step further and climbed to the top of the TCE category podium with a steady performance.
Wen Jiangtao/Yang Yang said after the race: "This CEC race experience has brought us a lot of gains, including tire selection under semi-dry and wet road conditions, tire management during driving, and protection of the car during long-distance driving, etc. There are many things worth reviewing. There have been some minor problems in our car during the race, but I am very happy that we can still perform smoothly and finish the race at our own pace. Next, we will work together with the team to continue to improve speed and competitiveness, and look forward to the arrival of Ningbo Station."
As a new face in the CEC arena, the OK Racing team has left us with a deep impression with its outstanding performance. In the next race in Ningbo, OK Racing will continue to work hard and strive for more good results.
