2025 China GT kicks off new season in Ningbo

On March 28-29, the China GT China Supercar Championship will hold a two-day pre-season warm-up event at Ningbo International Circuit. A new chapter belonging to the highest stage of China's GT racing will begin in Ningbo. Top teams and racing stars from all over the country will return to the arena to prepare for the exciting journey that is about to begin.

In the new season, the China GT organizer, the China Automobile Federation, and the organizer TOPSPEED will work together to improve the professionalism and viewing of the event, provide a broader development platform and promotion opportunities for participating drivers, and strive to make China GT a competition with international influence.

Season Prologue Ningbo Sets Sail

The first day of the Ningbo pre-season warm-up includes three 60-minute practice sessions, and the second day consists of two qualifying sessions and a race. The official pre-season warm-up is of great positive significance to many teams and drivers who are interested in participating in the new season of China GT. It not only reserves sufficient testing time for teams and drivers, but also simulates the competition process of subsequent regular stations. Through the pre-season warm-up, participants can verify and optimize the performance and stability of the vehicle after the off-season, while improving the team's collaborative work and the driver's driving competitive state, and lay a solid foundation for familiarizing themselves with the rules of the competition and improving overall competitiveness.

The Ningbo International Circuit, the venue for this pre-season warm-up, is 4.01 kilometers long and includes up to 22 corners with different speeds and radii. Its road surface rises and falls with the mountain, with a maximum height difference of 24 meters. Multiple challenges will put the driver's driving skills and the overall performance of the car to a severe test. Such characteristics also make the Ningbo Circuit one of the best test venues in the country.

Strong lineup

Many racing giants and powerful teams will appear in the pre-season warm-up activities. The flagship category GT3 will be led by the PA combination Fang Junyu/Wang Yibo of UNO Racing Team. The two outstanding drivers of UNO will reunite after the final battle of GTSC Zhuhai last year, and drive the No. 85 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II again. It is worth mentioning that Wang Yibo, a racing driver exclusively sponsored by the trendy clothing brand EVISU, won the championship with his teammates in the previous GT race debut, showing extraordinary potential and excellent speed. This year, he will continue to explore the unique charm and infinite possibilities of racing sports with the help of GT champion Fang Junyu.

The newly formed INCIPIENT-Racing team sent out a double Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II lineup, with No. 51 driver Xiao Min and No. 68 Xing Yanbin/Wu Ruihua team fighting side by side. The home team Youpeng Racing will be driven by the main driver Shen Jian to participate in the competition in the No. 91 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO. LEVEL Motorsport, which is also in the three-pointed star camp, also brought a Mercedes-AMG GT3 car.

Another resident team, Harmony Racing, was joined by Li Hanyu, who completed his first experience of GT3 last year, and Ou Ziyang, who was promoted to the highest category, driving the only No. 328 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO in the field. The new 610 Racing team, which just competed in the GT3 category in the recent Sepang 12 Hours Endurance Race, also entered the China GT map, with rookie driver Pan Deng and powerful fighter Yang Xiaowei driving the No. 915 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II to participate in this pre-season warm-up.

The Blackjack Racing team brought two Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo cars in the GTC category, with the No. 2 car driven by Pang Changyuan and Li Sicheng. In the GT4 category, new driver Wang Yongjie will drive the No. 7 BMW M4 GT4 to meet the test on the track.

As the pre-season warm-up approaches, the Ningbo International Circuit will once again welcome the roar of the racing cars. As the new season is about to start, China GT will continue to work hard to present exciting events to the national audience.
