Marco Sorensen

Marco Sorensen, born on September 6, 1990, is a highly accomplished Danish racing driver. Best known as an Aston Martin factory driver since 2015, Sorensen has made a significant impact in the world of endurance racing. Currently, he is set to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship and Super GT for D'station Racing. Sorensen's career highlights include winning the FIA World Endurance Championship in the LMGTE Pro class twice, in 2016 and 2019-2020, and once in the LMGTE Am class in 2022, showcasing his adaptability and skill across different categories.

Before transitioning to sports car racing, Sorensen honed his skills in open-wheel competitions. He participated in series like Formula Renault 3.5 and GP2, demonstrating considerable talent and securing race wins. Sorensen's early career also saw him as a member of the Renault and Lotus F1 junior programs, marking him as a promising talent in the single-seater world. His journey began in karting at a young age, progressing through Formula Ford Denmark, ADAC Formel Masters, and various Formula Renault series, ultimately leading him to the international stage.

Since becoming an Aston Martin factory driver, Sorensen has become a prominent figure in the FIA WEC. Partnering with Nicki Thiim, he secured his first endurance win in Austin in 2016, ultimately leading to the GT Championship title. The duo became known as the "Dane Train".
