The Guangzhou Champion Car Race Series is a major event in Guangzhou's motorsport scene, providing a platform for many racing enthusiasts to showcase their skills. Among these, the Guangdong Champion Car Race (formerly known as the Fengyun Elite Championship) is an annual championship event hosted by the Guangdong International Circuit, registered as a regional event with the China Automobile Sports Federation. The event was established in July 2013 and, since its inception, has attracted enthusiastic participation and strong support from numerous teams and drivers due to its unique appeal. In 2016, the Fengyun Elite Championship was successfully upgraded to the Guangdong Champion Car Race, further enhancing the event's influence.
