Ultimate Racing Team Sets Off for 2025 CEC
News & Announcements China Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit May 22
From May 30th to June 1st, the 2025 CEC China Endurance Championship will officially kick off at the Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit. After many years of exciting battles, Ultimate Racing officially announced its strong return to the national endurance championship. This new force in the Chinese GT field will be stationed in the Chengdu base camp to meet the challenges of various masters.
The team leader Yang Chunlei emerged from the touring car field. After winning the annual driver championship of the Renault Clio Cup Asia Series in the 2019 season, Yang Chunlei gradually switched to the GT field and won many top domestic competitions. At the beginning of this year, Yang Chunlei participated in the fiercely competitive SRO GT Cup and stood out in the group competition, winning the pole position and the third place.
As Yang Chunlei's gold medal partner, Wang Haohao is also very capable. He was the runner-up of the 2019 Renault Clio Cup Asia Series. After joining Yang Chunlei in the GT event, the two cooperated well and won honors in the GT field several times.
Zhang Wenyan is known as the "secret weapon" of Ultimate Racing. This newcomer is known for his clear thinking, calm judgment and stable driving style. His joining will inject valuable strategic advantages into the team.
As the resident team of Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit, Ultimate Racing has a natural geographical advantage. Wang Haohao pointed out in a pre-race interview that playing at home will help the team face the endurance test with a more relaxed and normal mentality: "We have no pressure for this game. All members of the team will treat it with a normal mentality, just like any other game, and go all out to enjoy the game."
"There are many combination bends on the Tianfu track, which are very interesting and difficult. Perhaps each driver has different strategies and interpretations for these combination bends. We also competed in CEC here a year ago, and we are back again this year. We will continue to work hard and focus on improving our performance."
As a national-level high-level endurance series event, CEC has become an important platform for many powerful teams and outstanding drivers to show their skills, test their abilities and exchange ideas in recent years. Unlike conventional short-distance sprint races, endurance races require not only speed but also stability. They also test the strength of all team members in strategic response, tactical execution, physical endurance and other aspects.
Returning to the CEC, Yang Chunlei expects the Ultimate Racing team to continue to learn and gain in the test of long-distance events, and to make continuous breakthroughs and progress. He said: "As a national-level competition stage, CEC has a high level of competition and is very authoritative. Due to the large number of groups and participating drivers, the CEC weekend is more like a large gathering of racing people. Many racing friends from all over the world will gather here. For us, CEC is also a platform for mutual learning and communication, which also gives us more motivation to challenge the limit."
The CEC Chengdu opening game is about to start, and the Ultimate Racing team will soon embark on the journey of the new season. Let us wait and see what kind of storm their endurance chapter will set off.
