Looking back at the 2024 CTCC, the friendly group setting welcomed many new drivers to compete, and also reunited with many old friends, including the 778 team with outstanding performance in CTCC. In the season opener, the 778 team sent Zeng Zhilong/Lu Bairu to participate in the Sports Cup TCR group. In the first round on Saturday, the two drivers won the runner-up. In the second round on Sunday, the two drivers drove the Audi TCR car to lead the whole field and won the victory with impeccable and perfect performance.

** Domineering win! Zeng Zhilong/Lu Boru combination shows extraordinary strength**

The CTCC Zhuzhou race was held in cooperation with the GT4 and road car qualifying races of the Macau Grand Prix. The 778 team participated in both CTCC and Macau qualifying events, and the pace was very tight. On the return to the CTCC stage, the third-generation driver of the 778 team, Lu Boru (his father is Lu Jiajun and his grandfather is Lu Xiongbiao, both champion drivers of CTCC) partnered with teammate Zeng Zhilong to compete. In the first round on Saturday, the two drivers' CTCC debut made the audience re-recognize the strength of this lion team, winning the second place in the whole field and the runner-up in the TCR category.

In the second round of the race on Sunday, the Audi RS 3 LMS TCR SEQ driven by the two drivers showed strong momentum from the beginning of the race. With their outstanding performance and stable performance, they were far ahead of other opponents in the nearly one-hour full sprint. Throughout the race, Zeng Zhilong and Lu Bairu cooperated well and constantly adjusted the status of the car to ensure that the vehicle ran in the best condition.

After 28 laps of intense racing, the pair finally crossed the finish line with a huge advantage of nearly half a minute and successfully waved the checkered flag of victory. This victory is not only a recognition of Zeng Zhilong and Lu Boru's personal strength, but also the best proof of their team spirit.

Passionate track, dream acceleration

At the press conference after the race, Lu Boru felt very memorable and excited about his first CTCC Sports Cup trip. He shared after the race: "This weekend's race experience is very special to me. I not only enjoy the professional atmosphere of the event, but also feel very honored to be able to participate in such a high-level event as the CTCC Sports Cup. This competition provides a platform for many teams and drivers to show themselves and improve their skills, and also gives us the opportunity to enjoy the joy brought by speed and passion. Through this competition, I have learned a lot of valuable experience and met some like-minded friends. I hope to have more such opportunities in the future to learn from other outstanding drivers and make progress together."

After completing the CTCC's comeback show, the 778 team has continued to participate in major domestic and international competitions, successfully passed the Macau Grand Prix qualifying, and won the annual driver championship in the Guangdong folk competition. In mid-November, the 778 team continued to write its own speed legend and landed in the 71st Macau Grand Prix. In the GT4 competition, Lu Jiajun and Liang Jiatong, who also participated in CTCC, competed with each other and contributed the most exciting competition moments of the event.

The legend has not only been continued, but also passed on. I hope that in the future, we will witness the glorious racing moments of the 778 team again!
