Lucas Tucci di Grassi, born on August 11, 1984, is a Brazilian racing driver renowned for his achievements in Formula E and his advocacy for sustainable mobility. Di Grassi's career began in karting at the age of ten, leading to success in Brazilian Formula Renault and Formula 3 Sudamericana. He later progressed to European racing, including British Formula 3 and the Macau Grand Prix, which he won in 2005. In 2010, he entered Formula 1 with Virgin Racing. Beyond racing, di Grassi holds a degree in Economics.

Di Grassi's most notable success has been in Formula E. As one of the championship's founding drivers, he played a crucial role in developing the original prototype car. He secured the 2016-17 Formula E Championship with Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler, after finishing third in the inaugural season. He has thirteen wins in Formula E and 40 podiums. Outside of racing, di Grassi is the CEO of Roborace, an autonomous racing car project, and the founder of an electric bike start-up in Brazil, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable technology. He was also the UNEP Advocate for Clean Air from 2018 to 2024.

In addition to Formula E, di Grassi has a strong background in endurance racing. As an Audi factory driver, he achieved multiple podium finishes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and was the FIA World Endurance Championship runner-up in 2016. Di Grassi lives in Monaco with his family and continues to be a prominent voice in both motorsports and environmental awareness. In 2024, he competes in Formula E for Lola Yamaha ABT.
