Racing Driver Fernando Alonso

Fernando Alonso Díaz, born on July 29, 1981, is a Spanish racing driver currently competing in Formula One for Aston Martin. A two-time Formula One World Champion, securing the titles in 2005 and 2006 with Renault, Alonso has amassed 32 Grand Prix wins over his illustrious career spanning more than 20 seasons. Beyond Formula 1, Alonso has demonstrated his versatility and skill by winning the 2018-19 FIA World Endurance Championship, including two victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Toyota. He is also the only driver to hold both the Formula One World Drivers' Championship and the World Sportscar/World Endurance Drivers' Championship, in addition to a win at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2019.

Alonso's Formula 1 journey began with Minardi in 2001, showcasing his talent despite uncompetitive machinery. His move to Renault marked the beginning of his championship-winning era. After a stint with McLaren and a return to Renault, Alonso joined Ferrari in 2010, finishing as runner-up in the championship on multiple occasions.
