SRO GT Cup Overview

The SRO GT Cup is a new GT4 championship scheduled to launch in China in the 2025 season, consisting of four rounds of eight 30-minute sprint races, with two races per race weekend. The first race will be held at the Shanghai International Circuit as an official support event for the F1 Chinese Grand Prix, before moving to the Beijing Street Circuit to be co-hosted with the GT World Challenge Asia Cup. The race is open to FIA Bronze or Silver drivers, who will be allowed to compete in certified GT4 cars, with 20 cars expected to participate in the inaugural season. Registration opens on January 9, and SRO's “Balance of Performance” system will ensure that the standard of racing is consistent with championships around the world. The SRO GT Cup will be included in the GT4 Manufacturers' standings and will form the Asian region with the Japan Cup, which will be scored in conjunction with the other intercontinental and national races around the globe, providing a new competitive platform for domestic and international race fans.
