Lotus Cup Europe Overview
Lotus Cup Europe is a single-make racing championship designed for Lotus enthusiasts, offering a professionally managed yet enjoyable competition. Since gaining FIA International Series status in 2013, it has attracted drivers from across Europe. The championship features a diverse range of Lotus cars, from the Elise to the latest Emira GT4, categorized into four groups: GT Cup, Exige Cup, 2-Eleven/Open, and Production. Drivers earn points based on their group rankings, allowing competitors from all categories to contend for the overall title. The season consists of 12 races across six iconic circuits, with race weekends including two free practice sessions, qualifying, and races featuring both rolling and standing starts. At Spa-Francorchamps and Anneau du Rhin, a special 50-minute pit stop race adds an extra strategic element. Strongly supported by the Lotus community, the series enjoys active engagement from car owners and fans, with significant social media interaction. Open to drivers of all experience levels holding an International D license or higher, Lotus Cup Europe combines professional organization with a fun and social racing environment.
