GT China Cup Overview
The GT China Cup is a new national GT event, upgraded from the GTSC and sanctioned by the Chinese Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Federation. The event is scheduled to complete four stages of competition in the 2025 season, with each race weekend consisting of two one-hour main rounds covering top venues across China.
The GT China Cup inherits the professional competition standard and hot atmosphere of GT Short Course Series (GTSSC) and GTSC, and presents a brand new race system, which is dedicated to creating a more inclusive and exciting GT competition platform. Instead of the “non-professional, single-car, short-distance sprint” format of the GTSSC, the race accepts drivers of all levels, using all GT cars that comply with the technical rules and adopts the single- or double-entry format, which contributes to a more diversified and balanced arena for the same race through the precise segmentation of the categories. The race will maintain a wide range of classes.
The race maintains a wide range of classes, and all GT cars that meet the technical rules for each class are eligible to compete. Participants have a high degree of freedom, from National B to International PRO drivers, and can choose to compete either solo or as a two-man team. Newly qualified drivers can gain experience in the GT China Cup and make breakthroughs to improve themselves, while PRO drivers can also show their strength in the GT China Cup competition.
