2026 FIA GT World Cup Date Set for Macau

Racing News & Updates Macau S.A.R. Macau Guia Circuit December 19

The 2026 FIA GT World Cup has been officially scheduled following a meeting of the FIA World Motor Sport Council held in Tashkent, confirming the continuation of one of the most prestigious GT racing events on the global calendar.

The ninth edition of the FIA GT World Cup will take place at Macau’s iconic Guia Circuit from 19 to 22 November 2026, marking a shift of one week later compared to the event’s slot in the current season. The challenging street circuit, known for its narrow layout, high-speed straights, and minimal margins for error, remains a defining factor in the race’s global reputation.

In the most recent running of the event, Antonio Fuoco claimed Ferrari’s first-ever victory in the FIA GT World Cup, finishing ahead of two-time winner Raffaele Marciello, a result that added a significant milestone to Ferrari’s GT racing history at Macau.

The exact sporting format for the 2026 event has yet to be confirmed. In 2025, the FIA GT World Cup underwent its most substantial structural change since gaining FIA World Cup status, highlighted by the introduction of a “Super Pole” session positioned between Qualifying and the Qualifying Race. Whether this format will be retained, refined, or further expanded for 2026 remains to be announced.

Details regarding the full Macau Grand Prix weekend programme are also still pending. At this stage, only the FIA GT World Cup and TCR World Tour races have been officially confirmed, with further support categories and event elements expected to be revealed closer to the event date.
