Dirk Müller

Dirk Müller, born on November 18, 1975, is a highly accomplished German racing driver with a career spanning various top-tier motorsport categories. Known for his versatility and expertise, Müller has been a factory driver for prestigious brands like Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, and Mercedes-AMG. He began his racing journey in go-karts before transitioning to single-seaters, excelling in Formula 3 and eventually being signed to Porsche's junior team in 1996. In 1998, he secured the German Porsche Carrera Cup title, marking a significant milestone early in his career.

Müller's success extends to both sports car and touring car racing. He claimed two American Le Mans Series titles in 2000 and 2011, showcasing his adaptability across different racing formats. His impressive record includes multiple wins in ALMS and the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, along with victories in European and World Touring Car races. Notably, he was crowned FIA GT Champion in 2007. Some of his most celebrated achievements include winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016 in the GTE Pro class with Ford Chip Ganassi Racing and the GTLM class at Daytona in 2017. He also has overall and class wins at the challenging Nürburgring 24 Hours.

In 2024, Müller returned to a full-time manufacturer racing program, partnering with former teammate Joey Hand in the Ford Mustang GT3 for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Beyond racing, Müller has contributed to vehicle engineering programs, using his "Nürburgring specialist" skills, demonstrated by his sub-7-minute lap on the Nordschleife during the development of the Ford Mustang GTD. He currently resides in Thurgau, Switzerland, with his wife and daughter.
