He began racing at 18 in an Alfa Romeo Alfetta, and since the early days of his career he has been a race and development driver for Audi Sport.

Stippler's achievements include winning both the Porsche Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany in 2003, marking him as the first driver to win both national and international championships in the same year. His success extends to prestigious endurance races, with victories at the Nürburgring 24 Hours (2012, 2019, 2024) and the Spa 24 Hours (2012). He has also achieved success in historic racing and has multiple overall victories and lap records in the VLN Nürburgring Nordschleife series.
