Frank Stippler, born on April 9, 1975, is a highly accomplished German racing driver with a career spanning several decades. Known for his versatility and expertise in various racing disciplines, Stippler has made a significant mark, particularly in GT racing and endurance events. He began racing at 18 in an Alfa Romeo Alfetta, and since the early days of his career he has been a race and development driver for Audi Sport.
Stippler's achievements include winning both the Porsche Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany in 2003, marking him as the first driver to win both national and international championships in the same year. His success extends to prestigious endurance races, with victories at the Nürburgring 24 Hours (2012, 2019, 2024) and the Spa 24 Hours (2012). He has also achieved success in historic racing and has multiple overall victories and lap records in the VLN Nürburgring Nordschleife series.
Beyond his racing accomplishments, Stippler's background as a trained mechanic and engineer has made him an invaluable asset in vehicle development. He has contributed to the development of numerous Audi 'S' and 'RS' road models and high-performance sports cars from Audi Sport customer racing. His extensive experience at the Nürburgring, where he has completed approximately 375,000 kilometers in tests and races, underscores his deep connection with the track and his role in refining vehicle performance.
