James Walker, Jr. is an American racing driver with a diverse background in motorsports and engineering. Originally from Rochester, New York, and currently residing in The Woodlands, Texas, Walker combines his passion for racing with his expertise as a licensed Professional Engineer at Carr Engineering, Inc., where he specializes in vehicle dynamics and crash reconstruction. A graduate of GMI Engineering and Management Institute (now Kettering University) with a degree in automotive mechanical engineering, Walker's career includes positions at companies like Kelsey-Hayes, Saturn, Bosch, Ford, and Delphi, focusing on advanced brake control systems.

Walker's racing journey began in 1997 with the creation of scR motorsports. He spent seven years competing in the Sports Car Club of America's (SCCA) SSC and ITA categories. While family commitments shifted his focus to high-performance driving instruction with the Porsche Club of America in 2004, he continued to participate in occasional ChumpCar races. His professional racing debut came in 2017, joining Risi Competizione in the North American Ferrari Challenge 458 Championship. He furthered his career in 2019, competing in the TC America Championship with an Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

More recently, Walker has been associated with BimmerWorld Racing, partnering with notable drivers like Bill Auberlen and Tyler McQuarrie in the GT4 SprintX Pro-Am Championship. In 2023, driving a BMW M4 GT4, he narrowly missed the championship by a single point, highlighting his competitive spirit. Beyond racing, Walker serves as an industry advisor to Kettering University and has been a consultant for StopTech since 2001, contributing significantly to brake system design and analysis. He also authored "High-Performance Brake Systems: Design, Selection, and Installation" and is an SAE Master Instructor, demonstrating his commitment to motorsports education.
