Erik Comas, born on September 28, 1963, is a French-born Swiss former racing driver. Comas began his racing career in karts before quickly transitioning to cars, where he showcased his talent by winning the Volant Elf competition. This victory propelled him into Formula Renault, where he secured one win in his debut year and dominated the following year with eight wins. His early successes also include winning the French Superproduction series, the French Formula 3 title in 1988, and the Formula 3000 title in 1990.

Comas entered Formula 1 in 1991, participating in 63 Grands Prix until 1994. Throughout his F1 career, he secured a total of seven championship points. After his time in F1, Comas moved to Japan, where he achieved significant success in the All-Japan GT Championship (JGTC). Driving for Nissan's Nismo team, he won the GT500 title in both 1998 and 1999, and finished as runner-up in 2000.

After retiring from professional racing, Comas has remained involved in the motorsport world. He runs Comas Historic Racing, offering clients the opportunity to participate in historic rallies with his collection of Alpine automobiles. He also had a passion for rallies and classic cars, winning the Carrera Panamericana in 2014 in a Studebaker and the Italian historic rally championship title in 2015.
