Seiji ARA

Seiji Ara, born on May 5, 1974, is a Japanese race car driver from Chiba, Japan. He gained international recognition for winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2004 while driving an Audi R8 for Audi Sport Japan Team Goh. That same year, he also participated in the Le Mans Endurance Series and the Japanese GT Championship, showcasing his versatility across different racing formats. Ara's career spans various racing disciplines, including Formula Nippon (2001–2002), Japanese Formula 3 (1997–2000), and the Barber Dodge Pro Series (1995), demonstrating his extensive experience in motorsport.

Ara made his debut in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) in 2009 at the FIA WTCC Race of Japan with Wiechers-Sport. Beyond his achievements on the track, Ara expresses a simple yet profound vision: "I enjoy motor racing!" His favorite track is Suzuka, and he lists Japanese cuisine as his favorite food.

In recent years, Ara has continued to be involved in racing, with notable appearances in Super GT events. For example, in 2023, he participated in races with Studie BMW, contributing to the team's performance in the GT300 class.
