KATSUYUKI HIRANAKA

Katsuyuki Hiranaka, born on October 3, 1981, is a Japanese racing driver with a career spanning both European and domestic motorsports. Hailing from Hokkaido, Japan, Hiranaka began his racing journey in Europe, competing in the F3 Euro Series in 2003. The following year, he had the opportunity to test drive for Toyota's Formula 1 team, marking a significant milestone in his early career.

In 2005, Hiranaka shifted his focus to racing in Japan, where he quickly established himself in top-tier categories. Throughout his career, he has achieved notable success in the Super GT series, particularly in the GT300 class. In 2019, he secured the Super Taikyu Series ST-4 class championship. Driving for SHADE RACING, Hiranaka has consistently demonstrated his skill and determination, partnering with Michelin tires.

As of the 2024 season, Hiranaka continues to compete in the Super GT GT300 class and the Super Taikyu Series ST-Z class with SHADE RACING. With a wealth of experience and a strong track record, Katsuyuki Hiranaka remains a prominent figure in Japanese motorsports.
