August Pabst III

August "Augie" Uihlein Pabst III carries a rich racing heritage. Born into a family synonymous with both motorsports and the brewing industry (as the great-great-grandson of Frederick Pabst and August Uihlein), Pabst III carved his own niche in the racing world. He began his racing career in 1991 in the SCCA ranks, progressing through Formula Ford and the Shelby Can-Am series. In 1995, he secured the Cen-Div Division National Championship in the amateur Shelby Can-Am class, showcasing his talent early on. He further honed his skills in the Formula Continental class before transitioning to the USF2000 National Championship.

While Pabst III achieved consistent top-ten finishes in USF2000, his impact extends beyond the driver's seat. In 1998, he took over Pabst Racing Services, transforming it into a successful race team focused on servicing various race cars, with a particular emphasis on their USF2000 entry. Under his leadership, Pabst Racing has achieved significant success, becoming a four-time U.S. F2000 National Championship team champion (2017-2019, 2022) and fielding teams at the USF2000 and USF Pro 2000 levels.

Although he stepped back from professional driving after the Six Hours of Spa in 2008 to concentrate on managing Pabst Racing, his passion for racing never waned. In 2021, he made a comeback, co-driving a Ligier JS P320 in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Road America, demonstrating his enduring love for the sport. August Pabst III's career reflects a commitment to both driving excellence and team leadership, solidifying his place in the American racing landscape.
