Andreas Wirth

Andreas Wirth, born on November 19, 1984, in Heidelberg, Germany, is a seasoned racing driver with a diverse career spanning various racing disciplines. Wirth's racing journey began in karting, where he competed in several German series from 1998 to 2000, securing multiple championships. He transitioned to single-seaters, achieving second place in the 2001 German Formula Ford Championship. He further honed his skills in the Formula BMW ADAC series before making a significant move to the United States in 2004.

In the US, Wirth clinched the Formula BMW USA championship in his debut year, showcasing his talent with four wins and eleven podiums. He then progressed to the Atlantic Championship, participating in the 2005 and 2006 seasons. His efforts culminated in three race victories and a third-place finish in the 2006 championship. Wirth also briefly ventured into Champ Car in 2006, competing in two races for Dale Coyne Racing. Later in his career, Andreas returned to Europe and competed for seven seasons in the ADAC GT Masters series, achieving nine victories.

Beyond racing, Wirth is involved in the green energy sector, working alongside his family in renewable energy projects, focusing on wind and solar energy applications. This passion reflects his commitment to environmentalism and sustainability, aligning with his racing career. In 2016, Wirth participated in the European Le Mans Series with SMP Racing, driving an LMP2-class BR01.
